Nice to see Stuart Brennan reporting in the MEN today, regarding exactly what I said last week that Txiki does NOT control the purse strings when it comes to tranfers, but is monitored and regulated by Omar Berrada.
I`ll await for some humble pie eaters to come forward and apologise ... but I wont hold my breath.
My contact who told me this deserves a big thank you also.

And of course assume doesn't make an ass of u and me. Assume can make ass, u and me, but it can't make an ass of u and me unless you pixilate the u and me and reform them as ass. But most phrases can be made from others by pixilating the letters so it makes bugger all sense. And you has three letters y, o and u, not just u on its own.
It's from the same stable as "there's no I in team" and other such bollocks.
The correct response to "Don't assume, it makes an ass out of you and me." (other than swearing) is "Wow, you've been on a course, did you learn anything useful or just that crap?

Heard this once and pointed out that in that particular scenario there might, however be too much 'wewe'.
Apparently US corporates don't always appreciate friendly constructive feedback.
