Leicester (N) - Community Shield | Post-Match Thread

You're the one that seems concerned I'm not. And yes - I would be concerned if that was anything like the team that we're gonna put out on a normal matchday. Are you for real?? We don't lack power on attack - the players on the pitch were nothing like our normal matchday squad. How do you struggle to understand this?
Don’t understand why the English lads aren’t back yet, as they turned up for the rags yesterday....?

Was listening out for ITV to drop something Raggy in from the commentary, even though they were no part of this fixture.
Then mid way through the 2nd half Lee the dick Dixon started rambling about Ryan Giggs being super fast with the ball at his feet.
What a fucking cheese
Of all the quick players of the last 30 years, why would anyone mention someone waiting trial for beating a woman?

Thought that was pretty good yesterday, having seen the line-ups I was expecting something more like last season’s game at the Etihad. If Gündogan and Mahrez hadn’t been so rusty in front of goal we should have scored two or three. First half was a bit of a grind but we looked well on top in the second. Felt sorry for Ake, he’d been doing well before the penalty. The result of a pre-season workout is neither here nor there.

Good to get that one out of the system in what Rag's 'n Dippers on the losing side call a non-trophy. I thought we did well in the second half. I just hope we aren't gonna see a measure of one goal or no goals for every ten shots. Kev 'n Phil could have made a difference but we'll never know.

Watching it again now as sound was off in the pub. Keane complimentary about how and why we've bought Grealish. Rightly compares it to Liverpool in the 80's, rags and Arsenal in the 90's/00's. Didn't expect that tbh.

Give the guy a chance, he is had less than a week back training.

This season is nine months long, players form, fitness and influence will dip in and out, that's why we have a big squad full of internationals.
Don't start the "big squad" thing. We've got the same squad limit (25) as every other team in the PL. Mind you, that doesn't include "under 21s" of which we do have a lot (including Palmer, Torres and Edozie from yesterday's team, and Foden). Leeds last season had a small squad of 17.

i will only look to the positives from yesterday, jack is going to be special in this team

pleasantly surprised with edozie and cole palmer just cemented what i already know about him
They did well and its good that they now know the difference between EDS level and PL

No but narrative is he and sterling bottled out of the final pen and mad ea teenager take it.

They are the scapegoats for southgates shit tactics and rashfords wank penalty miss
What?

Got nothing to do with costing 100m and us ruining football?

The season starts in 7 days away at Spurs who's fans will make us know they're not happy at us trying to steal their "one of our own". Half our team haven't trained a fucking day since the Euros yet. Our 2 best players are out injured for weeks. Our other 1st team players looked massively (lol) off the pace and undercooked. I'm worried about our possible start having a big impact on the chase to retain the title. In our first competitive game we were toothless up front and we haven't got a striker available unless Jesus gets back from Tokoyo quick smart. It's a shit show pre season - again!
Jesus never went to Tokyo

"It's a shit show pre season - again!"

Please tell me how the club could avoid a "shit show pre season"?

Did we organise the Euros and Copa America?

Long, Long season ahead, 9 months and hopefully 60 games, the proverbial marathon not a sprint.

Relax and enjoy.
