lol how many of you would go to your work for free...?
if I didn’t need to worry about money, I would. But I’m a foster carer, so its a bit different

Yeah. It is Messi and it is definitely their kind of fetish. Last year, i wasn't seeing a deal working out due to our poor financial state.Where is Parisian
sure he stated last year they would be in for him but Messi wanted City and Pep
That doesn't necessarily mean anything. Italians generally don't care to leave Italy. They can play football and make a good living in Serie A.The French clubs have done better than the Italian sides in Europe in recent years. Look at how many players in the Premier league have come from France and look at what's come from Italy. Theres not much difference in the two leagues.
A possibility but you have to take into account that the contracts they have been signing are running long after the WC. Neymar 2025, Hakimi 2026, Donnarumma 2026, if Mbappé signs too.I wonder if Qatar will reduce their funding of PSG when the 2022 World Cup is over.
They are quite petty. So because they can’t afford him, Barca want to end his career?
You missed a real opportunity not paying that release clause in 1 cent coins...They are quite petty.
The last time when we bought Neymar, it was Tebas who was refusing to take the cheque to pay the clause. After that, he waited the very last moment to deliver the transfer papers to french league. Thus, Neymar wasn't able to play 2 or 3 games after his transfer.
I can say that almost no fan of PSG like Pochettino as a coach. The Villa forum was in meltdown over JG,,imagine the Barca forum !!!
I dont know what to make of him really. Always seemed in some scrape with Barca about money, contracts, getting managers sacked.GOAT..possibly..Ronaldo succeeded in more leagues and internationally, tough call. Not sure at this stage in his career he would have fitted into our team given his playing style and age. Another potential Rodney Marsh situation avoided.
Any way good luck to PSG keeping all those egos in check, and is Poch the man to do it??
I wasn't comparing the nationalities, I was comparing the quality of player coming in from each league regardless of their nationality. It wasn't my only point and wasn't offering anything definitive, simply an example to counter the point made about the Italian league being seen as a test whereas the French league is deemed a farmers league. There's very little difference in quality between the two leagues. That doesn't necessarily mean anything. Italians generally don't care to leave Italy. They can play football and make a good living in Serie A.
It is exactly the same as many Germans don't wish to leave Germany or the Bundesliga. They are close to home and play football for great wages.
Both these nationalities are front and center to make their national teams in their home countries, near there families and are comfortable playing a "relatively " high level of football for good money.
Comparing the nationalities coming to England to play doesn't explain the whole situation.
Neymar having renewed his contract has significantly reduced his transfer fee amortization. PSG save up to 35 millions a year.It is complete corrupt bollocks that PSG can pay the fees they did for Neymar and Mbappe, pay them the wages they pay them and now pay Messi that huge some of wages in a tinpot league with literally no TV revenue money!?! Only one man to thank it seems………. How is the corruption charges against this man going on? Swept under the UEFA carpet it seems!
You must have missed our windows post summer 2017.Glad we’re staying far away.
pisses me off that we get lumped in with PSG, when we bend over backwards trying to follow the rules and they do whatever they want whenever they want.
I'm sorry. I didn't see anything other than you saying,I wasn't comparing the nationalities, I was comparing the quality of player coming in from each league regardless of their nationality. In relation to the post I was quoting, I think what I said was fine and made the point I was trying to make adequately.I'm sorry. I didn't see anything other than you saying,
"Look at how many players in the Premier league have come from France and look at what's come from Italy"
How could I not have known you were comparing the quality of player? My mistake?
I don’t careYou must have missed our windows post summer 2017.
It is finally the first window we can really invest and it makes a world of difference with the business we have been doing these last 4 years.
He's not wrong though. PSG went big on Neymar and Mbappe and it cost them a couple of windows because of it. They've had to rely largely on freebies and loans as well as trimming the squad last couple of windows to comply with FFP. In fact, we've spent a good chunk more than PSG in total since and including the window they bought Neymar.I don’t care
Again, I don’t care, psg can fuck off, they are not like us. they have an executive on the Uefa board, they have never been really chased after or prosecuted as we have. He's not wrong though. This Messi thread has really shown our fans are no better than the rest of the league when it comes to throwing out uninformed crap about FFP. Didn't we just spend about a fortnight laughing at clueless villa fans for doing the same thing many of us are now saying about PSG?
Gets pissed off about something that's not even correct but doesn't care enough to stand corrected. Top man.Again, I don’t care.
No mate, I mean - as someone who lives in Paris, and has done for the majority of the past 21 years - whilst being excited, most seem to agree that its not a great idea financially or from a team harmony point of view. You can find fans of City here who didn't want Messi at all while some were in frenzy. There are even some who think Grealish has more marketing power than Messi. Different people, different opinions.
The PSG fans i know, those on PSG forum are overwhelmingly excited and are rejoicing.
And just for the transfer muppetry it is so good. Nobody is a professional fan and we can't just stay rational all the time nitpicking some details like Messi salary or his age or his lack of back tracking. We want to embrace the fun and dream. If it ends in disaster on the pitch, too bad, the time will come to cry. Now, the time is to enjoy.
Yep, fickleness of football fans sadly. Whilst laughing at villa fans reading into every small thing to go in their favour, like many on here now thinking messi will be coming here. Not a chance. He's not wrong though. PSG went big on Neymar and Mbappe and it cost them a couple of windows because of it. Yep. Let it go. So obvious he would never turn up here.Yep, fickleness of football fans sadly. Whilst laughing at villa fans reading into every small thing to go in their favour, like many on here now thinking messi will be coming here. Not a chance.
Both the French league and Italian leagues have twelve teams who would struggle in championship. I have lost all respect for MessiI wasn't comparing the nationalities, I was comparing the quality of player coming in from each league regardless of their nationality.
