It's possible that this is the first time City have directly met those relevant members of the Kane camp for a while. It's probably a minor enough issue that only those specific members of his team would bring it up.

This duo of Dumb and Dumber( Charlie Kane) first signed a six year contract with a "gentleman agreement" with a snake like Levy which is already making City's life difficult and now he wants to crib over some numbers.

Without sounding too arrogant, he needs City more than City needs him.
We can still win the league with Jesus as our only forward while his last chance to get out of that cesspool which is Spurs is this year with only two weeks left. No one is going to touch him with a ten feet pole next season.
