Harry Kane

Sorry but this is a really bad take. If he knew how to get the job done he'd be in their team instead of behind Rashford, Greenwood and Cavani in their pecking order.

He's also a known prima donna who wants to do the fun parts and not the hard yards.
It’s a wind up mate!

Fwiw, the brief snippets we've got from City related journalists throughout this whole month have been that City are willing to go the wire on this one.
As I mentioned in the Ronaldo thread if we miss out on Messi, ronaldo and lukaku only to find out right at the wire that spurs weren’t bluffing then we have well and truly fucked up imo.

But what if we do sign Kane?

Thankfully, it looks like we're starting to explore alternatives. I guess that Levy isn't budging and we certainly don't want to get to the end of the window without a striker. With time running out now, I can only see this dragging on for another day or two before we pull the plug.

he never put in a transfer request, when Suarez/F. Torres wanted to leave Pool they did hand in the transfer request, same as Van Persie as I recall.

Kane want to save face got a new PR team too for same reason. he should have been much more clever when siging contract extensions earlier, and it shouldnt be City paying an extra large price for that.

it is just strange we wasted months on this deal, and here we are after we told Kun in April that he is off as the plan is a new main striker brought on, and did we really plan this all on something Levy might have promised to Kane?
Kane saying to rag Neville about 100m price, and he probably told us the same and we were standing there once we put in 75+25 bid and Levy laughing it off saying even 150m straight cash could be short.

and now we put in another bigger bid which may be rejected as well similarly, only difference is we waited for 1 week for the window to finish.

Honestly just tired of this saga. It's not even an exciting saga where things are happening. This is a player that has plenty of downsides and we seem totally obsessed with him beyond reason.

Either we're actually willing to meet Levy's asking price which is ridiculous or we're not and hoping he lowers it and willing to go to the wire for him which is also ridiculous.

We need to put a ridiculous bid in on the last day, in the the last hour of the window.
Or hope that kane drives up to the etihad and hangs around in the car park waiting for a deal to happen.

I don't think any of that is true

there were transfer windows that dragged longer and progressed slower, but this transfer window absolutely infuriated me the most and I viscerally just want it to end already lol

Didn't work for Peter Odemwinge all those years ago doubt it'll work now.

The strategy by City has been totally bizarre. I've not seen City act like this with any other signing. Perhaps the closest was KDB but that was alot different in terms of how we approached negotiations and there was legitimate competition for his signature.

Maybe our Board are in a better position than yourself to determine how near we are away from a signing.

Just don’t log on here maye, don’t check Twitter and just wait until you see what the squad looks like on 04/09/21. It’ll help your stress I promise.
