Arsenal (H) | Post-Match Thread

Great result but the sending off which was a horrific challenge ended the game as a contest,I actually thought we were ok but nothing to spectacular, players still getting up to speed for me which will be till end of September in my opinion..

How times change. Seems like yesterday I was watching Arsenal go 4 up in 30 mins at Maine Road (2003?). Henry etc racing past Dunney . Arsenal fans rightly gloating. Probably thinking this is how it will always be.

I know some think it’s a passé now to think where we’ve come from. But days like these should be treasured
Exactly what I said to my son when he said he felt sorry for Arteta, can remember that match as of it was yesterday, even said to my Dad after the match why didn’t we support Arsenal instead.

He looked at me in disgust and the rest is history

Brilliant today. I have zero sympathy for the letter writing, shit piss take penalty taking Tarquins. Should’ve been ten.
The only bit of the Arse machine that worked today - last ditch blocks. Save another three or four good efforts. There were a couple that from 323 in the second half I couldn't work out how they hadn't gone in.

What a lovely day.

Beautiful sunshine. Five goals scored, none conceded and the Arse sent away with their tails between their legs.

The only blot was the nightmare getting into Blue car park . We have never faced queues like that before (last week excepting, and it’s something that the club must sort out.

Back to the match. We were excellent all over the pitch, although Eddie had a bit of a dodgy spell in the first half.

Rúben and Aymeric were imperious: Kyle, Len and Zinc were excellent. Dave was his usual impeccable self in front of the back four. Bernie and Mr Whippy ran the show and the front three gave the arsdefenders headaches all afternoon. I really like Gabriel as a winger, and he thoroughly deserved his goal.

For a winger, Ferran is doing a very good impression of a central striker. He took his goals very well, especially the header, as he’s not the tallest.

And finally, ten goals from nine different scorers is a great start to the season.

Nearly got into a fight at work with my workmate(who’s a rag) back in the 90s when we were shite and said if u lived in landen would u support Arsenal and their beautiful football they played and he said no I’d be a cockney red fuck em.

He was a fucking injury feigning wanker that soft **** Tierney.

I reckon he pretended to be injured for more time in the match than he touched the ball.

What an absolute shithouse of a player he what
An absolute embarrassment. And he’s arguably their best player. He wasn’t rolling about on the floor like that in the Scottish shinty league for Celtic.

Arsenal are in deep deep trouble this year on that account. They looked worse than Norwich
Arsenal for the drop? Could potentially be the most surprising relegation from the top flight since we went down in 83 (and we won our first 3 that season).
Not really a betting man, but if I was I probably wouldn't actually bet huge amounts on it actually happening though to be honest!

Really enjoyed the game today. Still lots of people having issues with mobile tickets though!

I thought we started really well, Gundo and Silva were absolutely class. I‘m really warming to Torres and think he’s got a brilliant instinct for goal inside the box. He also tried a few clever moves which if any one came off would have resulted in a wonder goal. Jesus continuing to work really hard for the team and his goal was probably the best of the day for me...because it followed a nice passage of play

Onwards blues !!

I was explaining this fact to my grandson who is 12 years old. How the tables have turned. Use to dread playing Arsenal at main road CTID
