Arsenal (H) | Post-Match Thread

That was the worst performance I've seen from a "big team" in some time.

Lots of positives for City. Jesus looks very motivated, Gundogan controlled the middle, Grealish is settling. A performance that makes some of the people calling for Pep's or the board's heads over Kane/Ronaldo look silly given how strong our recruitment has been over the years.

Excellent team performance, with Gundo, Cancelo and Torres all very impressive. Ferran's movement is very good and he gets into some great positions and he deserved his 2 goals today. Bernardo again showed why we can't sell him.

They were bobbins. Shockingly bad

wow just wow
how did Arsenal become this crap? i swear i wouldn't be surprised if the team fielding this squad was named Stoke City. most lower league teams give us a better game in the cups. don't even know how to rate this performance, as the opposition had no semblance of defence whatsoever. guess it's nice for Torres to bloody his teeth early if he is to be our striker.

Brilliant win after a very slow start. I get why Pep got pissed off. When we started dominating the match & went 2-0 up, the whole team started walking football again, & a load of sloppy passes started to creep in. Ederson & Walker were particularly culpable, but this was more down to mentality than form.

After the sending off & the halftime break, we settled well & started playing some decent football, with some very sublime moments too.

I thought Torres & Jesus were brilliant, as were Gundog & Silva in particular. We MUST keep hold of Silva & Laporté. I honestly believe if both are properly involved & given a fair crack of the whip, they'll hopefully change their mind & stay, as they've both proved they're badly needed.

Finally, in Torres there's a decent instinctive striker in there. With Jesus seemingly happier on the wing, perhaps both players swapping positions will be bigger for us than any striker signing we could make.

Pep said he doubts we'll be making a striker signing, but once the window shuts, we'll have no choice but to go with what we have... Onwards & Upwards. )(
