Erling Haaland

Estimated €80m per year in the transfer fee (€150) & wages (€50m) over a 5 yr contract.

Not counting any retainer Riola rumoured to want at €2m a year.

What if we pay £100m now and leave him there for the year? If that pleases the player and dortmund and builds a strong relationship between the 2 clubs, its beneficial for us. Dortmund will always have the 'next' big thing, for eg reyna and the young striker they have already to take over from haaland next year.

City and dortmund could easily benefit each other, they take prospects off us, develop them, we have a reasonable buy back clause or a big sell on fee. This could be the start of a new agreement between the 2. It would also stop bayern taking the piss all the time, hopefully.

He'd never wanna come back, he'd be smashing them in playing every week..

Not a chance this happens this summer and I am not optimistic that we will pay what's required to do it in January or next summer. The one thing that disappoints me to a degree beyond anything else about the football side of things is how infrequently we pull off the really big transfers. Although we did manage one this summer.

We didn't exactly have to beat off the competition for him though did we? Had a free run.

I think that’s a very good idea, except Dortmund seem to like taking it up the arse from Bayern. German FA probably have something to say, behind closed doors obviously

Zork is the Dortmund exec.

He's saying Dortmund are not a bank.

Not sure what he is implying.

Assume he meant their position is clear and not always about money (bank)?
Imo he means what's the point of having lots of money, implying they wouldn't have time to replace haaland,
