First time in 7 years I feel let down by Mubarak, especially following the vid post last season... now if I feel that way and him being the chairman of a club of this magnitude, I’d hazard a guess that some heads may roll?

Maybe we’re just spoiled, the reality is we still have one of the best squads in Europe, however, something just jumps out that this has been a disappointing summer, and will be felt within the club!

I said this in the LB thread but some things just don't make sense to me.

We released Aguero in March. Khaldoon says we will replace him in May. Made 1 bid for Kane during the Euros in June for <£100m. Spent the last 8 weeks not even talking to Spurs.

Something isn't right there, is it?

That's before the LB situation. I love Zinny, and was fine with him being our only LB if money was going somewhere else, but after the Kane deal died, we obviously had money left unallocated and when Mendy gets suspended. We've lost a player from the squad who racked up 20 appearances at LB ahead of Laporte and Aké and Cancelo who are often touted as possible LBs. So that's 20 games where we're now going to be playing someone Pep thought was a worse LB than Mendy. Bring forward a LB signing to fill the hole? Nope, just carry on like nothing's happened.

I’d tend to agree, if the rumours are true and we have set up a deal for Haaland in 2022 then I fully understand, however, the club quite clearly knew what was happening with Mendy so should have prioritised a left back. As @Ric said we can’t be sign a striker, left back and holding midfielder as well as replacing any potential leavers.

Pressure of city all on Chelsea and the scum who apparently have had the best transfer window! Also some supporters on here thinks we haven’t improved on last season so don’t expect to win owt!

For me our “TEAM” is the best in the premier plus we have the best manager the world has ever seen!

I've seen a few poeple trying to peddle us as underdogs and it's a bit pathetic really. We've got the most expensive squad and we've won 3 of the last 4 titles under the best manager in the world, having just added the British record transfer to the squad that walked the league last year.

We're the favourites and we always will be. Own it.

And the pressure is definitely on us to win everything in Pep's last 2 years. Everyone knows he's the best manager we'll ever have and he'll be gone after next season.

Disappointed, as I said numerous times levy is a **** to deal with and city won't pay over the odds. Am I arsed we didn't get kane, not 1 bit. Yet I'm annoyed we didn't fill other roles if a striker wasn't there. To let camavinga and nuno mendes go for so cheap is crazy. They will be 2 deals I think we will be annoyed at for not at least driving the price up. 2 positions we needed as well. £75m - £80m for 2 absolute gems.

Griezmann back at Atletico. Lol, this window doing its best to show we really were the only ones sitting still

Haha, just realized it's transfer deadline day, shows how much I'm worried about our squad for this season...

"Ronaldo is the biggest story of the summer. Its a bigger story than Messi going to France to retire"

isn’t this pretty bang on though? Playing in a one team league isn’t quite the same as joining a team who are trying to get back to the top. I’m sure Ronaldo’s gone there for the money but still, credit to him for going somewhere with a (massive) challenge ahead

I believe Khaldoon was being honest at the time and he truly thought that Kane was coming to us.

I have a spurs mate who heard that Kane's team believed he would be sold for £100m and they apparently told us that, but then Levy raised the price by 50%.

That isn't City's fault and there is nothing we could do because we didn't want to pay that much, so we're left with no Kane and no striker.

We're one of the best teams in the World and there's only a few players who are on the list, but in the mean time we've got a brilliant squad and we'll be challenging in every competition again and if we still have a need next summer, hopefully we'll get one in then.

Chelsea agree loan move for neguez, are we pedalling backwards, tin hat on again,!!!!
dont be so dramatic.

KDB, Foden, Jack, Fern, Rodri, Silva, Mr Whippy, Marhez, Raz, just explain to me where we have gone backwards, and who you want to drop out of the sqad from the above to get in Neguez

Messi had never left Barcelona, whereas Ronaldo had been in other places. And PSG’s goal is the UCL, he didn’t go there to “retire”. Not that I think it’s a big challenge

Well for one Ronaldo is 2 years closer to retirement and I don’t think PSG are targeting their farmers league this season, they have bigger fish to fry

I sit bang on the halfway line facing the dugout and seen a lot of Cancelo's work up close, he has been absolutely fantastic at both our home games. Some of the work he does is not noticeable whilst watching from other angles or on tv. If we are not in the market for another full time left back i can hand on heart say i know why, I think we have a belter already there
