Ederson and Jesus cleared to play (Pg 63)

What would happen if the players publicly say they didn’t want to play this round? Can a nation really force you to play if you don’t want to? Hardly seems fair.

Rules always been there and should be enforced yet FA's are scared to do so.

The amount of rags and dips that have cried off international duty only to be miraculously fit for their next match and not been punished for it.

But Covid is a different case. If Brazilian FA go down this path I can see players "retiring" over it.

Agree "retiring" until major tournament

Its all a bit unclear but it seems like clubs are asked to release players - due to covid they said no so the 5 day rule can be applied. If the clubs say yes and then players just dont go then the rule does not count. The difference there is that the player has to state why he didn't go. Its a long standing rule that I dont think is ever used.

I guess Brazil is just causing a stink as that seems to be the way they do things now.

More pressure on FIFA and the need to reform. The international game has the upper hand with the governance structure yet all the money in the game comes from Club football (European club football).

The ban will affect us and red Scouse team selections.

The rags will be on the phone to their gimp at the PL to get it done.

But they stopped Argentina from fielding their English players so why are they so bothered about their English players not turning up to play for Brazil. By that logic they wouldn’t have been picked anyway because they objected to players travelling from the UK to play for Argentina.

Not a chance that it will stand. For them to play they would have had to miss club matches in order to isolate for the required period to the country they would have to travel to, and then the same on return.

Nonsense of the highest order.
