When the fanfare has died down and the world class performances don’t appear.......I will be happy in the knowledge that he is costing them a fortune whilst doing his utmost to destroy any team spirit the rags have left.....

My prediction? Ole to go before Ronaldo does.....

Great points pal. I would be happy in the knowledge that they did this to themselves in the effort to match us, a little like Allison and Swales did in the late 70s to us.

If there's a more plastic, glory hunting, day tripping support, half and half, out of town, support, bar the Dippers, who are a close 2nd, I've yet to see it.

It's been ridiculous everywhere all day-
Rag fan on the radio this morning "It's the biggest transfer in sports history"
BT Sport advertising Champions League next week "Ronaldo live on TV!"
Sky advertising the 15:00 show "We focus on Ronaldo return with updates from other games!"
BBC 5 live "The only place to listen to Ronaldo live!"

He's 36 for gods sake!
All week I've heard "Ronaldo's 2nd debut" is that not a contradiction, how can you do something for the 1st time twice?
