Mancini didn’t need to dress like a ticket tout or sing Oasis songs in a nauseating attempt to endear himself to the fans, he just fought for us and the club on the touchline and in the media. Hopefully our next one will do the same.

If England don't deliver then Southgate might be an option. He's proved himself on the world's biggest stage and got England playing expansive attractive football.

He might be the right fit to attract young talent like Martial......

He has taken his team to 5th place in the league in the last two seasons and based on their squad, that is probably a case of finishing as high as it is reasonable to expect.

When he managed the best team in a division, he won everything domestically.

If he comes to City, he will win loads of trophies. Will he be the guy to replace Pep? That depends on when Pep goes and I hope Pep will extend again but, right now, I continue to think Brenda will be high on the list of people City would turn to.

The other guy I reckon will be in contention is Julian Nagelsmann if he does well at Bayern.

He is, yeah.

Leicester blew a Champions League spot two years on the bounce. Where they were expected to finish is irrelevant - they were miles ahead of the competition and collapsed, twice. Same thing happened at Liverpool in 13/14.

His tenure at Celtic is about as relevant to managing Man City as would be a stint managing the US Women's team.

Nagelsmann is a good shout though.

What? Hahahaha. Atletico play the most depressing football. Speaking of CL what game of their's you have watched recently. Atletico vs porto? Not sure that was "good stuff".

Southgate specialises in injuring our players. At least they wouldn’t have to travel to London to get over used and crocked.

I think it’s just an easy stereotype to push - Simeone’s dour teams. I don’t see them much but then I think many of their critics don’t either.

I think the stars are alining it’s worrying he’s been doing international football at the moment. Thing is it’s not like 10 years ago when there were a lot of talented managers out there.
