Still fretting a bit about these cunts. This season could be one big heave for the league, with other trophies being talked down, internally. Not good enough to mount a multiple trophy hunt, but winning the league will give them a commercial shot in the arm they probably need toot suite to shore up a declining asset.

It's all pretty immaterial really - just one big collection of people not knowing the laws of the game.

But yeah, if Moss had blown the whistle before Fernandes put the ball in the back of the net, then it would have been no goal. If the goalkeeper had got a touch and the ball entered his net - it should have been a goal.

The goalkeeper should have stepped aside if Fernandes was going it alone. Fernandes should not have scored himself. Moss should have made all the other players retreat 4 metres. He should also have given a goal kick after the ball entered the net.

A right old comedy of errors.
Which is why Penendes did it. Nobody knew the rules and he chanced it.

Wasted time they didn’t have in doing so too.

Don’t understand his mentality ........ probably two realistic competitions to win is this and the FA Cup ......... still who care the arrogant twats will just brush this off as world domination is around the corner .......... my god I hope the bastards fail nothing but a bunch of smug arrogant pricks ...........
They all decry competitions as soon as they are out, but they never say a word beforehand.
If l recall correctly they were the only club to count the Charity Shield as a major trophy until they ceased to qualify.
I do clearly recall the fuss about them winning the world famous Manchester Senior Cup with the future world class James Wilson. This potential world beater is now at his natural level with Port Vale, convenient for taking his laundry to his mum's when he goes for his Sunday dinner.
Wankus.

They’ve had a relatively easy start, and have already winged it with late, undeserved winners in two of their five games. They’re a shoo-in for the top four, but no chance they’ll finish above Liverpool, Chelsea AND City imo.

No chance they win the league as long as they have Ole in charge. He will never get the better of Pep, Klopp and Tuchel in a title challenge.

Especially as no one actually knows what that rule is. Does the team getting the drop ball have to touch the ball first? If so, West Ham could have just left the ball and run the clock out.

If they don’t, how long does a team have to wait before challenging for the ball?

As you say, he could have given the goal and no one would have known better at the time.

EDIT

Dropped ball

PROCEDURE

  • The ball is dropped for the defending team goalkeeper in their penalty area if, when play was stopped:
    • the ball was in the penalty area or
    • the last touch of the ball was in the penalty area
  • In all other cases, the referee drops the ball for one player of the team that last touched the ball at the position where it last touched a player, an outside agent or, as outlined in Law 9.1, a match official
  • All other players (of both teams) must remain at least 4 m (4.5 yds) from the ball until it is in play
The ball is in play when it touches the ground.

Seems like Moss could have given the goal.
No he couldn't as rat wasn't 4m from the ball

Thing is, the incredible run of results away from home just cannot continue. And while I hate to give them credit, I have to. But, even with Ronaldo, it can't continue - can it? They've had incredible luck, and this season, despite Ronaldo's arrival, they haven't looked much improved to me, and I don't think he's made any real difference to results - they already had players who could have scored any of his goals to date. Sancho and Varane have showed nothing by way of improvement to them so far.
So, don't fret - they're going to collapse. They've had a very comfortable start. Worry about them if they're at the top at Christmas. (Chelsea are the worry, and the match against them on Saturday is coming a month too early imho, so, if we can get anything there, it'll be a bonus.)

Hope you’re right, mate.
Just remember Ratboy Nevilles comments in January when the Rags went top for 2 weeks.
"Utd fans start to dream"
Well it must of been a short snooze cos it was over in a flash and they woke to the reality that the serial trophy lifters from across town were readying themselves to relieve the Dippers of that big silver trophy and bringing back to the Etihad.
Get back on the niteol Raggys

Fred is on 6m a year ffs. He is one of the worst footballers I have ever seen. I can honestly say I can pass and trap a ball better than him.

This wont be popular but I reckon the Norwegian paperboy will be gone by Xmas, rag mate said the crowd are starting to realize he is just incompetent, dead man walking apparently.
Yes. The mood music has changed this week. I haven’t heard so many negative comments about the paperboy’s lack of silverware in……..well….. never

Also the Great Manchester Run & half marathon on Sunday, so need more time to deep clean the surrounding areas of the swamp.

I did the Manchester run around 15 years ago. In those days the route took you immediately around The Swamp. As I passed by the Stretford End I had the urge to clear my throat and deposited a huge amount of sputum, at eye-level, on a turnstile door. It was so enormous that I’m sure it lasted into the new season. As I did it, I got a big cheer from a group of runners behind me! Great day.
