Yeah never his position in a million years but the overall tactics worked a treat

Wasn't picked to play up front to score, it was to keep hold of the ball and he did it well.

The false 9 is always going to see less of the ball, that's part of the role, he did his role today very well and I do think he's the best option as the false 9 but couldn't help but think foden should have come over to the left today. felt he could have caused serious damage down that flank if he were in the positions others found themselves in. I'd switch him out there vs liverpool

Seems foden never get played in his rightful position because he is that good! He did a job up top but a player like Foden need to be on the ball more! Could of tried switching Kdb and foden positions maybe?

probably Bernardo currently. You might say I’m crazy for that, especially after yesterday, but I think foden is a better player and long term will be one of the best midfielders in Europe. Just needs to be played in the middle more.

I wouldn't want to sacrifice Foden's attacking ability to play the role Bernardo does for us currently. If we ever get back to two proper attacking 8s like we had with David Silva and De Bruyne, then absolutely

I liked the role he played against Wycombe. Yea I know it was lower quality, but I thought he played great. Attacking midfielder
