Named best young player of the season so far by both Carragher and Neville, but honestly I think it's been a disappointing season for Phil so far, partly due to availability. When he's played he's been productive but I can't imagine a non-English youngster getting so much praise for playing less than half the games. Goes to show the extent to which our media latch onto whoever is our best hope at the time, like when Rashford was coming through.

I don't think it's been disappointing partly because of availability, it's 100% because of it.
When he's been on the pitch he's been fantastic.

And he is just 21.. LOL

At what level will he be playing in 4-5 years ?

Unbelievable..

Superb tonight, he carried the team at times. His awareness and football inteligence is off the scale (particularly considering his age). I hope he stays forever. He's the best player of his age in the world.

Different gravy. Didn't have a particularly great game in all honesty but he shows his quality all the time when it's needed. Got the goal, offered the main and perhaps only real threat going forward, worked his arse off and killed any hope of a last gasp equaliser almost single handedly in the last 5 minutes. Welcome back off the naughty step Phillip, now keep your fucking nose clean.
