If they were sensible they would go for Conte, short term, boring but a winner, their version of Mancini.Who replaces Ole though?
Who is out there at the mo, who is that step up they need?
I've never understood the Zidane hype as a manager, so he may get the respect from being an outstanding player, but tactically, could he get this lot firing? I don't think so.
They took a punt on Ole, if I was them I'd go for Graham Potter; far more tactically astute, but the owners bow to the demands of the fans and the 'old boys' club, which is hampering them big time.
Potter will go onto bigger and better things than Brighton. Like him a lot.

Fat Sam, then my intense hatred for the rags will increase a million times over and I can die a happy man.Who replaces Ole though?
As Bryan Riggs has to prepare for his ringpiece being widened. I reckon PR7 will take over as player coach.Who replaces Ole though?

As I keep reminding rags spent 1.4 billion since last winning the titleChrist they make so many excuses for them in that article. They have spent roundabout the same amount as City have on signings and wages over the last few years and are no where near our level.
Sehr Gut; Tres Bon; Muy Bien.I never did Latin at school, though I was given the opportunity.
However, I have a 2:1 degree in German and French, obtained at the age of 41!
Yes the GPC was not interested in the long term, just his own personal vanity. With the Rags getting Ronaldo in, I can certainly see parallels with what they did with Van Persie.
Get an aging but experienced player in for a final swan song season in an attempt to drag them to a title. It worked spectacularly well for them with Van Pussie that time as he managed to stay injury free and turned games around from losing positions to get a win.
However by GPC using that strategy (including persuading Scholes to play another season) to win his last title, effectively meant that he left the squad needing a complete revamp.
So until now they just seem to spunk vast amounts o cash on high profile star signings, with little thought to team cohesion.
The Rag’s ongoing transition phase with so many false dawns, is a joy to behold. Long may it continue
