A United fan was telling me that their share price jumped £200m (I think it was more likely $) when he was announced, so he's paid for himself already.

So I checked, and their share price did indeed jump, but it's now $100m LOWER than it was last Wednesday.

Still, the stories are written by now :)

I quoted some rag on here the other day spouting this shit, the only way you can make the share value increase into spendable funds is if the shares are sold, and the sellers donate the profit to the club!! Sure the clubs value has risen, but it isnt creating ready cash.

So, all uniteds share holders sell up their shares, then donate the ronaldo increased amount to the club, but no longer have a vested interest in the club cos they sold it. See how pathetic an argument it is, but they still paint it up to be easy money, blah,paid for himself blah,shirt sales blah.

The worst part is that the media only make matters worse by insisting they are brilliant in the transfer market, as posted on here just now boasting about that van de beek transfer, and the scum just lap it up.

I’ve just read on the BBC that Daniel James is close to going to Leeds for £30m.
This is a player that joined United from Swansea for around £15m and did absolutely nothing at Old Trafford - and United have doubled their money!
How, i mean just……..how?
Am i missing something here?
I’m all aware of Sunderland buying all the shite washed-up United players for £15m-£20m in the past but this is taking the piss isnt it?
