I partly agree. It's print edition is collapsing, so much so that they no longer publish their circulation data but their digital revenue is increasing. It will increase until one of their commercial rivals goes online properly. Then they will have problems.

BBC football is not as hostile imo. I think most of their football coverage is good. I like MOTD for example and wish other coverage was as neutral as they generally are, Their web-site is very skewed towards Man Utd but the City coverage is generally not so bad - in my opinion.

I am concerned about what the media say about our club because there is strong evidence that City's supporter base is getting affected. The negativity is extraordinary at a time when we have possibly the best team in our history - arguable I know but still outstanding.
I totally agree with your last paragraph. We have been damaged by the media and I also agree that we can't just ignore negative coverage. The club should be more proactive. It is the BBC website (one of the largest in the world) which is the main issue not the TV. Few people watch Match of the Day these days.

Boycott the Guardian, the more you tell people about it on here, the more people go and look, the more 'clicks' the Guardian gets and the more revenue.

Don't ever question my support, great coming from a man that wanted a joint City and Rags parade.
The Guardian is in decline and I don't think that it will be saved by the four pence ha'penny worth of clicks generated by the few Blues who look at that paper following Marvin mentioning what they have said.

I find Blue Moon is a great digest to tell what might interest me but more importantly what I won't want to read.

Most things lead you to advertising. I soon got fed up of looking at 'the 50 most beautiful women' (and their 100 lovely boobs) because of the 3 adverts between each one.

Why would he write that when that's false? We have one since then. There is zero denying that the first line is true, and relatively important to be honest. We've beaten them now at Anfield, but with no fans there, and that is of course a factor, in Liverpool's eyes at least. Liverpool will be telling themselves that, so it'd be pointless not to consider it.

Of course it is a factor. It was seen across the leagues, away wins were more prevalent with no supporters.

Based on the aspirations of the two clubs, its a big game and they will have a decent crowd supporting them, which there players will feed off, just as we will at the Etihad. Their support is not the only factor, but just like many lauded our support on here, and righltly so, when we beat them 2-1, their crowd will be a factor just like many said our crowd was that night.

Anyway the easiest thing to stop a narrative is to prove it incorrect. Over to you City.

3 adverts between their boobs?

I see Martin Samuel is on it again today.
Breakaway plot bled red

When four of the six Premier League clubs that were part of the breakaway Super League plot called a meeting to dissolve the company, Liverpool and Manchester United did not agree.

No surprise there. Ostensibly, this was because they feared legal repercussions from Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus but the real reasons are obvious. It was them. It was always them.

They needed the others to make their rotten plan work but this was driven by the two red clubs in the north and had their fingerprints all over it from the start.

Good read on the main story re sheriff and ffp as well, Samuel on point again thanks for posting

Not enough room. You would need a great amount of cleverage to get in.

... I doubt if many city fans read their content any more........
I am subscribed to it. :) My cat hates it, because it always arrives at 5.45 with a massive thump at the front door. Every time I am upset with another JJ article about City, I try to imagine the British printed press without the TG and I calm down. Barney Rooney is fun to read and Wilson actually knows his football, especially when not read through blue tinted specs.

Barney Ronay is a founding member of the City hating WhatsApp group, a relentless proponent of the ‘sportswashing’ myth and a snide dog whistle racist who casually, sneeringly dismissed club owners from the Arabian peninsula as “a row of grinning beards” in print.
I am glad that we have an alternative to media outlets owned by tax dodging far right billionaires like the Sun, Times, Mail and Telegraph but with a few honourable exceptions like Scott Murray, the Guardian’s football desk is a nest of vested interests, confirmation bias and sexual deviants like Nakrani and Glendenning

Opening line of Guardian Liverpool v City preview by the journalist/troll Will Unwin:

"Manchester City fans have not been in attendance for a league win at Anfield since 2003", when "City have not won at Anfield since 2003" would be much simpler.

This is designed to make fans comment so don't do it! They want fans posting on their site, to generate revenue so don't give it to them. Clear trolling of City's fanbase so those City fans contributing should think about what they are doing.
Again, you are spreading their shit

BBC are fan boys for all that’s red. Never forget this

Glendenning a serial deviant??? Eh!?

BBC at it again regarding Daniel Sturridge moving to Perth Glory

Sturridge spent six and a half seasons at Liverpool, scoring 67 goals in 160 games before a loan move to West Brom for the second half of the 2017-18 season.
He moved to Turkey in the summer of 2019 as a free agent.
His three-year deal with Trabzonspor was terminated the following March as the former Manchester City and Chelsea forward was given a four-month worldwide ban for breaching betting rules.
