Regardless of what he cost, he has come into a team that plays football he has never been anywhere near. He plays for a manager who dictates where he plays and he can't go a wandering - that'll be a first for him as well.

He'll need time to settle. He's a cracking footballer who will get better for us.

The price tag is always going to hang heavy.
 
Pep needs to find a position for him. Hes nowhere near fodens level on the left And cant replace bernaedo Left mid.
 
He was never worth more than 65M of euros. His best position in City is on the bench. He should never start in big game TBH. Impact sub is his destination.

First bad game for us. Doesn't press hard and isn't a false 9. Never play him there again.
 
Doesn't seem used to being in the striker/false 9 position. Couple times see Foden/KdB looking for someone making the run through the channel but Grealish just stands behind looking to receive the short pass, as a playmaker would do.

Sterling came on and gave the midfield a clearer option.
 
Doesn't have the movement or close control to play as a number 9 for me. He's not the type of player that can hold the ball up in tight spaces like Bernardo, or make clever runs like Sterling or Torres. You lose all of his best attributes playing him there. But then Phil was so good on the left that it's hard to argue that they should switch.
 
Still finding his Feet.

I actually think his best position is more central. Like it was at Villa.

Hence why he is blowing hot and cold adapting to his new role.

Still think he is a great signing.
