This lad is brilliant. He could have scored at least 1 more, but he terrified Milner.

He's still not the best of the team, but he will be soon. I am not sure if he'll be the best in the world, but he'll be at least top 5 for +10 years.

he’s played prettt much his entire youth career in the middle. He has the potential to be world class in any attacking position. He’s shown in those few games

I don’t get or agree with your other point. A 20 year old who’s been average a few times in the middle, therefore he shouldn’t play there? It takes time to grow into that position

pep himself apparently wants him there as well. It’s not exactly a controversial opinion

Gareth Bale was a leftback - players evolve and peak in different positions. Terry and Ferdinand were midfielders.

He's a winger..he's played well in the middle a few times against lower league sides but average at best against decent teams hence why its not a more common occurrence. He has the potential to be a world class winger why move him to midfield because people want him to be Daves heir.

Grealish is a quality player but a totally unessesary signing.

Grealish will prove himself to be necessary once he begins to play as a central midfield player.

Foden can be a success anywhere across the front 5, hes just that good.
get a feeling pep sees him as another messi type player and even though hes better on the ledt right now, i think he’ll drift more centrally as he matures.

exactly mate. He’s going to be world class in any position.

I think he will drift towards the middle aswell

Foden is the player England fans think Grealish is when they obsess over him starting.

If he carries on his trajectory he’s having a stand named after him, that’s how brilliant he is. Pep has got his progression bang on.

Said in the pre match thread he has to play on the left. he's currently at his best for us in that position, he outshines Grealish in every single department, that position is his unless Pep has him in the 8. Just hope he doesn't keep moving him around because of his versatility to get others into the side, players generally suffer when that happens. Play your match winners in their most effective position and that means Foden left wing every single game.

What a performance. Milner had to clip him twice to stop him on the edge of the box and he was still straight back on his feet trying to get to the ball. I hope he never loses the desire to play the game as it should be played.

Posted last week on the Grealish thread that Foden is light years in front of Jack Grealish and it wasn’t meant as a put down , Foden shouldn’t be moved around to accommodate anyone, the rest of them
need to adapt

youngest player to ever score in 3 consecutive PL appearances against liverpool. last player to do it was lukaku in 2013.

legend.

Spot on. What we're getting from grealish in that position is a typical, lacking in confidence, safe, sterling left wing performance with a brilliant first touch but no pace. There's no planet where that better option than Foden. He's electric and one of the few who makes something happen instead of just waiting for somebody else to do it. Grealish needs to sit on the bench watch foden do what he does then take that in and find himself a position in the side elsewhere if he doesn't want to be a £100 million foden leg saver.
