#47 | Phil Foden - 2021/22 Performances

Midfield is where he belongs. In the middle with the ball at his feet making things happen. Not stuck out wide waiting for someone to pass him the ball. He is different from our other midfielders as well as he has the ability and pace to surge through the middle taking on players. Has to start every game he is fit as he just wins us games.
 
Tuchel and the Chelsea squad would have looked at Phil's performance last night and realised they will have a job and a half containing him this weekend.

In terms of ability and where he can get to it’s night and day. Maybe not head and shoulders yet but stick him wide left at the moment ( happy with him central) and you’ll get miles more threat, goals and assists from Foden.

Not a dig at Grealish either as I think he’s pure quality.

He is. I think he's the best player in the game at the moment. Wonderful performance last night. There were a lot of new fans around me last night and they were wowed.
 
foden needs to play every match, he will definitely improve. But seems pep prefers grealish over foden which is insane
