Liverpool (A) Post Match Thread

LOL...calm down mate. You need to chill out

So basically what you are saying is we DONT need a CF, and having one wont make us hit a higher level

Okay
Maybe it will. Maybe it won’t.
I would love to see another top class hit man come in however my point is those chances might not have been made yesterday if the player set up changes.
Regardless if Pep wants one or doesn’t want one we didn’t do to bad last year without one and looking like we won’t do to bad this year also.

Beautiful goal from Salah but I do think he benefits from the defenders' certain knowledge that if a defender gets within touching distance of him it's a penalty.
If Cancelo hadn't got a yellow for nothing yesterday he would have brought him down before he got anywhere near getting a shot off. The yellow cards we get on a regular basis when other teams get away scot free does affect the way we defend as we are walking the tightrope all the time with these bent officials

Brilliant game, brilliant performance from us and I hate to say it, but a brilliant goal by Salah.

Milner should have been sent off, everyone knows it, not much point getting upset about it now.

That's the type of game that we usually lose. We showed the champions mentality in coming back twice. Foden is an absolute joke. If KDB picks up form after this international break I have no doubt we'll go on to win the league.
Says it all really. I was so impressed with our mentality. We could've folded but we never gave up and kept attacking them. You could see this game meant a lot to the team. You could see it in the faces of every player. I think Gabby epitomizes our will to win. He worked his socks off. It was such an exciting game, it had everything.

BTW I take it you mean the penalty decision against Foden was a joke ?

watching that hateful **** Beglin and the other prick commentating, gave Salad mom apart from the wonder goal he didnt do a lot. Bernardo mom by some distance.
The satisfying thing is they know and we no they know that they were lucky today
Scouse Bastards
He split the MoM with Foden.
Salah also set up the first Liverpool goal.

Ha ha I hope so.

The penalty decision against Foden was a joke (it was either a penalty, or if it was outside the box it should have been a red card cause he was through 1 on 1 - where on Earth was VAR?).

But no, I mean that the level of quality Foden has is a joke. The guy is so, unrealistically good at football it can't be real. He's like a real-life Jimmy Grimble. I don't think he's far from being the best player in the league and he's what, 21?

It was disappointing not to take all 3 points yesterday and it was a great if not frustrating game to watch. Like we were playing 12 men mostly!! Anyway, a draw will suffice, I just hope that we put that kind of effort in and the same as we did v Chelski when we play against the Rags. Losing to them again this season will be a real kick in the swingers.

Imagine if Cancelo could defend, he'd be a top five player...

I also think Laporte now needs a rest and we would like to see Dias back on that left side of the pair, Stones gives us another out into midfield.
He'd have stopped Salah but the ref had given him a yellow for nothing. That ref really cost us the game although to be fair if City could be more clinical in front of goal he wouldn't have even been a factor.

A very good week for City. When you think that City have played Spurs, Chelsea, PSG, Liverpool and Leicester away then we know already that we can win the league again.

I agree, although Cancelo does have a habit of committing a half-arsed, early tackle, when he's caught up field or out of position.

He did something similar against Shaw in the derby last season.

There was still much for Salah to do before he played in Mane, but Cancelo doesn't need to sit down and stick a half arsed leg out.

The ref certainly had us over, but to watch Cancelo is a real conundrum, as his passing is outrageous.

Get Kev a bit fitter and we should be in a very decent postion before Liverpool lose Mane, Salad and Keita in January.
