Newcastle will have to spend 100’s of millions to catch up with Spurs Arsenal Leicester then hundreds more millions to catch United then 100 more millions to catch Liverpool Chelsea and City

Damn right. They are a decade i think from realistically being a top side. Their club needs transforming from top to bottom. Even compared to where we were in 2008, they are a long way off playing staff wise.
Not really, all they have to do is target the 3/4 clubs you mention first and take a couple of their better players, same again year after with the clubs higher and before you know it they could be challenging for top 4.

Thing is, if the current top clubs keep investing then will be harder for Newcastle to catch up. Over to the ‘legacy’ clubs to keep investing .... ;)

The Geordie fans had nothing to do with it.

Point out where they were celebrating being signatories to a letter most of them don't know exists.
Yes. I put a post on " The Mag" about the letter and nobody knew anything about it.

I fuckin hate Newcastle and there fans.
I don't hate them as such but I'm not going to pretend to be happy for them when they have been as guilty as the rest of the fuckers in slagging our club off for the usual shite like history and attendances.
Though I did have a little giggle yesterday when Salah was linked because even though it'll never happen I'm sure it would have got the scouse cunts all upset - which is never a bad thing.

There's over 400 pages of indignation and virtue signalling on the Newcastle takeover regarding human rights issues , sportwashing etc on RAWK already , add that to the nearly 500 pages of much the same about us , that's 900 pages of sanctimonious drivel from those scouse bastions of morality.. However try and find a page critical of their own clubs connections with Standard Chartered , the Iranians money laundering bank of choice , and nothing , zero , nilch, nada , it's almost like it's been (sports)washed from their collective memories , either that or they're massive hypocrites ..Either way , while ever they're taking money from Standard Chartered , they're in no place to take the moral high ground over anyone..
They just lie to themselves

All this virtue-signalling about human rights, sportswashing - they say they would stop supporting the club if they have been taken over by a AD or Saudi - fucking liars - they were desperate to be bought by Dubai

They are soooooo fucking entitled - they are now banging on again about the need for the ESL so that they can be part of that with other elite clubs and leave the likes of us and Newcastle behind - and it escapes them that is just proving their entitled attitude

So all the debate between the PL &Newcastle is resolved ,It is not a state owned club, would someone point out to Talksport,Sky,BBCand the rest of the gobshite media that in all the years we have been owned by SM,the PL has never come out and stated that MCFC is not a state owned club.MCFC should demand the same, and threaten those with court action for discrediting the club,It would only take one action. and it ends. Are you listening Mr know nowt Ex owner of a London club.
They've come out and said they're not a state-owned club because they clearly are a state-owned club. If we were owned by the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, then we'd rightly be called state-owned, but we're not, so it's never really needed denying. As I understand it, they're 80% owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund, which is a sovereign wealth fund and therefore ultimately answerable to the Saudi government and owned by the Saudi state, with the current de facto ruler as its chairman. To claim they're not state-owned is laughable, because you've got "legally-binding assurances" that the state won't interfere. Yeah, because we all know how much the Saudi government respect the rule of law. But if you're willing to take their money when it comes to all sorts of other investments (or sell them weapons to kill Yemeni civilians), it's also hypocritical to have a problem with them investing in a football club.

Meanwhile, this has to be the very definition of the glass is half full blind optimism:

Newcastle United takeover: LGBTQ+ fans hope Saudi deal 'a sign for change'

The Saudi Arabia-backed takeover of Newcastle United may help to improve LGBTQ+ rights in the kingdom, a fans group hopes.
United with Pride accepted the state was "one of the least tolerant" in the world over equality, but said the deal could have a "positive influence".
Newcastle Central MP Chi Onwurah said she hoped it was "a sign for change".
