Don’t know what to make of that. Boo boys will have a field day with both ake and Sterling playing
Our boo boys have a field day irrespective of who is fielded; they’re wonderfully consistent in that regard.

Ake is arguably the most aggressive player in the air of any of our defenders, so including him against Burnley’s forwards makes sense. Similarly, Sterling has made a rod for his own back by speaking publicly about his lack of game time. Guardiola says you do your speaking on the pitch, so if Sterling cannot make hay against one of the league’s weaker teams, he won’t have grounds for complaint when he’s omitted next time.

Smart management.

They already posted this:

Thursday: Raheem Sterling says he would be open to playing abroad if he does not get more game time at Etihad Stadium.
Friday: Pep Guardiola says he cannot guarantee Sterling a more prominent role at City and insists he must fight for his place.
Saturday: Sterling starts v Burnley.

No mention of us having no strikers, Jesus not available, Torres injured, they just had to post this to make out its player power winning or something.
Yep and why it’s annoying when the twat mouthes off to the press.

Boo boys or those who can see the decline in Sterling over the last 18-24 months and never seen anything from ake. Thou shall not criticise!

Walker, Dias, Gundogan and Grealish all on the bench. Hmm. If this goes Pete, the match and post match threads will be interesting!
Not surprised Gundogan is on the bench today to be honest. We need Rodri and Bernardo as 2 of the 3 and KDB is always likely to be the 3rd if fit. Also Gundogan is coming back from injury.

Surprised the other 3 aren't starting though.

Ake also gives up a lot of free kicks which Burnley live for
