You will be disappointed then, he and City are discussing a new long-term deal.
 
Good if we sign him for another few years. He's still 24.

Jesus when he came here hit the ground running. It was that second big injury I believe that made him less wanting to get into the hard contact play. He did mention he had a problem with overcoming his fear of getting injured. Not sure when he will get back to his form again. But goals wise he has already scored more than Dzeko.

Not sure why this is in the Haaland thread though. I posted in the other thread that a Haaland-Vlahovic would be our best long-term investment after Torres, and that would set us for the long run with more games a the 5 substitute CL rule, more opportunities to bring Palmer and Delap in.

That's quite the turnaround for him, it's good to hear. Do you know what was happening with him during the summer, as looking back it's all confusing for me? I remember at one point he was being mentioned alongside Laporte as wanting out but then things went quiet with him and even a couple journos singled him out as Pep wanting to keep him.

Pretty stacked at RW, any of the three could be extended or shifted at this point and it wouldnt shock me

Mahrez is an odd one. He’s been a standout in our attack for a while now but it feels like most fans are as keen to get rid of him as they are with Sterling who’s been out of form for over 18 months. Baffles me.

I for one think we’ll miss what he brings when he goes. His passing, directness and finishing is underrated and I think he’d walk into every other starting line up in the league.

The problem with him is you don’t know which version of him is coming out of the tunnel from one match to another

Mahrez would be great in a team that players counter attacking football, threading through balls to a fast striker. His lack of pace getting past defenders in tight areas let’s him down at City.

Mahrez will be 32 by the time his contract expires.

Would you extend his contact?
