I think Haaland is a quality player. Strong, quick, great touch, great appreciation of what is going on around him. My worry is he seems a bit odd. A weirdo. Number of his interviews have seen him giving strange and disrespectful answers. Maybe its me but I don’t like it. It indicates an unprofessional attitude and a self indulgent side. I do not like rudeness, there is never a need for it and it alway illustrates a lack of character. If I spot it I always steer well away when recruiting staff. He also has an agent who is utterly unreliable and will always only be interested in a buck. Still a no from me but if he lands then I still believe he would do well. Just hope he doesn’t unsettle the team.
It’s a strange world when we judge a footballer by his ability in interviews. id be more than happy if he nets ooodles of goals for us

i agree with all you say but KDB is not the norm & Haaland isn’t going to dump his agent just before the biggest move of his life. Also - not many players have the wherewithal to negotiate their own contract - even KDB had an agent at the age of 20

i understand your point but its got to be the player choice of move he wants not the agent
football governing body Fifa must try and stop agents controlling there players like pimps and making them move to
a club like it or not

haaland has good breeding with his dad and i hope the player and his dad are not letting the agent over rule them
if haaland wants the city move and is happy with the contract/deal/wages then its simple for the agent just do the paper work and let him sign

but we know what sort of agent we are talking about here Mino Raiola and he is scum and both city and pep don't get on. the truth be told if haaland wants the city move then a parting of ways has to happen. i heard the agent fees for signing for a new club is £40million ? nobody is paying a agent that amount of money in covid-19 pandemic its simply not happening

haaland must stop letter Raiola controlling him ? i know the barcelona trip was fake in terms of them signing haaland its all about the amount they want from manchester city ? if they think going to barcelona will scare city then they are daft. we all know barca are skint and will need to sell and recoup free transfers like aguero

haaland the other night looked like a kid going to his first city game and was dazed by the whole thing

sheik mansour went to dortmund with a mask
on a electric scooter
bought us back a lanky city fan

Agree with all you say - but your song needs a lot of work :). :)

Sorry about the song

As long as he doesn't go United or Chelsea, I'm fine with not getting him. He could be the next Messi/Ronaldo, but if they demand 150mil, 20mil for Alfie, 30mil for Raiola, 400/500k a week, it's not worth it. There's other options like Kane, Lukaku and Mbappe's contract finishes in a year etc and then there's Delap who could be quality. We don't play with a striker anyway so I wouldn't be too worried, that money could be better used throughout the team. We've got where we are without spending more than 60mil on a single player and the squad is pretty settled.

If the finances make sense, great. If not, best of luck.

For quite a while there was this narrative to the effect of "oh, Alfie is running things and Raiola is just there for advice."

How is that looking now?

We are not, in fact, literally made of money. Haaland seems a great talent, but it also seems as if he and his gangster of an agent will end up at Madrid on 1 million a week and that doesn't really bother me. Might even be bad for Madrid, much as the absurd sums Barca are paying to Griezmann, et al are a big part of their current difficulties.
