Stephen Yaxley-Lennon

Genuinely wanted to stir a discussion. Nothing more, nothing less.
If you think I'm a fascist I'm shocked, nothing I have posted suggests it.
I didn’t call you that, or anything else?

Once it became clear you were proverbially poking the hornets’ nest, for me, the discussion was over.

I don’t agree with this to educate people on racism people should listen to this scumbag to realise there is still people with views like he has who stir up racial hatred amongst the community

Haven't people heard enough of him over the past few years to know that he is a racist grifter?

The poster stating they just wanted to start a conversation is being deliberately obtuse.

In your own tiny mind.

So which side of the fascist fence do you sit on?
I think it's a mistake to think of folk on either side of a fence as that sort of opposing mobs thing feeds the Tommy Robinsons of the world. Better to think of everyone together in the middle and the facists running round the periphery throwing dog shit about. A subtle but significant difference I think.

Not good, if true. Still not a quote though, with respect.
What do you mean “if true”? As someone else has posted, there is a video of him saying it. That is literally a quote. You’re not just trying “to start a discussion”, you’re being deliberately disingenuous.

What exactly do you enjoy about the discussion?
Learning about other people's opinions, admiring the various styles of writing, gaining knowledge from the links that are put up.
Hearing stories that have affected the contributors, and weighing up the general feeling.

Sounds like I'm defending him here, but I'm really not.
Free speech is the key here, my point is we're rapidly losing it, and they're blaming the likes of him to curtail your right to speak and be heard.
Reckon you've got a pretty myopic and narrow view of racism if you think its existence can only be proven when its perpetrators use slurs and insults. It feeds into the false narrative that only the "brainless" working class, who can't control their impulses, are racist. As Musa Okwonga said when that poor lad was pushed off the train in Paris by Chelsea fans: he doesn't fear those Chelsea fans because they loudly shout about how racist they are, he fears the racists in suits and positions of serious power who are clever enough to hide their racism behind respectability politics and soft language. You'll never find them berating Mr. Patel in the street but you will find them signing off on policies that see Mr. Patel deported back to his "homeland".

I didn't mean to be, I promise. My sincere apologies.

Not at all (If you were indeed referring to me) just because you think he is a racist grifter does that mean we can't discuss him?

Ha ha what does that even mean?
You either learn something or you don't.
And I bet your not a real doctor ;-) x

There is a lot of truth in that but if you are in anyway defending something as heinous as fascism then I have an issue.

No need to apologise, but you shouldn’t be surprised when you get short shrift from many when you’re seen as defending, or deflecting from, what Yaxley-Lennon stands for.

I think we both know I'm not defending fascism. As do most of the posters that chose to have a go, and fair enough, I'm an easy target sometimes with my slack mouth and social tourettes, and lack of thought before I open my gob.
Got a good discussion going again though.
You lot are easy xx
