Aye. Well. Umm.Sounds like they've got Uncle Staveley

We have struggled to win at their ground recently.Whilst I doubt it, I hope they stay up as they are usually a nailed on 6 points for us.
Howe has agreed a 2 and half year deal
Agree. they need a good director of football to be in chargeNot the high profile appointment most toon fans would have wanted as Eddie Howe is not the guy to take them to the next level . Wouldn’t want to give him £200 mill to spend .
As the next level is survival then mid table, he might do okay. The hard part is survival though, but a run of 2 or 3 wins gives them a chance. Doubt they’ll be spending much more than £50 mill in January. Not the high profile appointment most toon fans would have wanted as Eddie Howe is not the guy to take them to the next level . Think that’s the plan, finding a good one is the issue though.Agree. they need a good director of football to be in charge
Risky appointment tbh. Did a decent job at Bournemouth, announced he was staying then left 3 days later for Burnley where he didn't do great, left for personal reasons but soon rejoined Bournemouth.Agree. they need a good director of football to be in charge
Lump on another 4-3 when we play them.Under Howe Newcastle will play nice football and concede a boat load of goals.
I think he might do OK in the short term, at least. Not sure thats a good appointment. He‘ll play good football in the long run but dont think hes got the ability to fix them short term and avoid the drop
