#SOO Save Our Olé Season III.....Ole, The Trilogy.....We've Failed.....Thank You Ole.

I think Ole's still safe
I know media pundits are now really asking questions, but who, of quality, is currently available or would want to join the rags at this moment!
It's only been a couple of weeks since Ferguson backed him and he still has huge gravitas and influence at the swamp and it's certainly not the "united way" to fold under journalistic pressure
What the Glazer's need to do is back Solskjaer in the January window
Added to that united were missing their best midfielder, Pogba, and their best wide attacker, Rashford, was injured, but even he dragged himself onto the pitch in a show of solidarity with the head coach
In summary, Solskjaer needs time and to be backed in the transfer market

We've had big problems vs back 5s and Solskjaer has used it against us to good effect before as well as beaten us with 30% possession, so not like it was a terrible plan. The problem was the abysmal individual errors of Bailly, out of position and slow to react for first goal. Swap him out for Tarky or Craig Dawson and that cross is cleared with ease and it's a much harder game.

Going behind early like that puts all the training done out the window, especially against a team like ours, one of the best at ball hogging and playing into the space if you overcommit. Reinforces my thought that the first goal has too much weight in football now. Ole and Lampard want to play attacking football but if you get caught it's hard to come back, even someone like Pep has a poor record coming from behind. Think eventually you'll see the game reduced to 10 a side, pitch made bigger, time extended to 100 minutes or some combination of those.

My mortgage that none of those things ever happen.

You should change your name to Make_Things_Up.

Nearly forgotten what thread I was on.
I know what you mean.

The media spend hours putting negative spin on any City victory so unfortunately this thread may give them a few clues.
Up to now even they are unable to get anything from the total humiliation they suffered (sorry wrong thread).

So what if they got Zidane tmrw ? He's a football manager, not a miracle worker! He would want a lot of money to spend as well, and of course there's the undead Pisscan ghoul walking the corridors at old toilet to contend with as well. The fans might want Zidane but the walking dead Pisscan wont want him ,and he has the ear of the Glaziers so it seems . Every failed manager at old toilet makes him look better and better .

Dead right who in their right mind would swap Ollie for a Failed Zidane, Ollie got everything right yesterday only bad luck and no help at all from the officials prevented him getting a memorable draw. How quickly Utd fans forget the performance at Spurs all that booing of a true leg end of the club was a disgrace.

We were extremely lucky yesterday. An OG, a freak goal and tippytappy no danger passing around our own half.

Ollie's players could and should have punished us. They let him down really and that's the disappointing thing from a football person's perspective.

The smart thing to do at united (especially as there is no one in Olli's league available for anything like he's paid) is to get in better players in January.

Degea and Bailly should be replaced at the back. They caused the easy goals. Bissaka and Shaw too cos they didn't put in the effort. Up front they need to replace Sancho and Ronaldo ASAP. They obviously can't cut it. One only scores in the last minute of injury time (there wasn't enough injury time yesterday) and the other is a dud. Thanks God they have Fred and McTominey to control midfield as they did yesterday and Maguire at the back who is a colossus. Plus basically if Rashford didn't have a government meeting at the same time and played we'd have lost 3-2 again. We are so lucky :-)

Fuck united obviously but to be fair it is so sad for football that Ollie has to pay the price when it's his players' fault. Just another £500million in January would give Ollie a fighting chance.

" undead Pisscan ghoul " Absolute literary genius.

This is just it, they’re all looking round trying to find someone to blame. Ole has had so much leeway due to his smiling & scoring that goal.

They blamed the Glazers. But after they spent another £100+ million on established World stars, paying them astronomical money.

Non of them want to look at the real problem, Ferguson.
He’s still there like a rotting corpse under the floorboards, stinking the place out and making sure everything is done in a way he approves of.

They don’t want to face the fact, that maybe he wasn’t that great, that what he achieved was largely down to almost zero legitimate competition for the vast majority of his tenure.
For the first 15 years of his time there, their budget dwarfed everyone’s, they could literally bully any team. Teams like Norwich & Newcastle managed by the like of Keegan & Mike Walker, or Villa & Brian Little or whoever.

Then along came Wenger, from Grampus 8, built a nice side who pissed on Ferguson’s chips. But again, that didn’t last very long.

Chelsea & Mourinho pummelled them.

They don’t want to think that they were the golden egg of the league and perhaps what all other fans were saying was maybe a little true.. They got treated differently.

Not one pundit, not one ex player has questioned why Ferguson is still there. They’ll even tell you that he’s the reason Ronaldo didn’t join City…
When in reality he didn’t join City because A, we didn’t actually want to pay anything for him & B, we wanted to pay half what he earns now.

Some United fans may even tell you they need more ‘football people’ in the hierarchy. Who do they think is preventing that? You can tell he’s still pulling the strings, who else but a grizzled 70 year old would keep trotting out all the d cliches that we hear.

While he lurks, nothing will change.
They blamed the Glazers. But after they spent another £100+ million on established World stars - and Jaded - paying them astronomical money.

A slight edit.

So, should the worst happen, is it possible to final an industrial tribunal and make the employer retain Ole during the process? It would be unfair dismissal or something. The employer has at no stage supported him or gave him the adequate means to complete his job. There's probably something to work on there. Tools like Fred are inadequate when you need a Jones.
