I don't think one should exclude all other forms of work, but in principle, I agree. A qualified doctor or lawyer should be able to practise, though I would distinguish between a lawyer doing pro bono work and the likes of Geoffrey Cox.

There's also the peculiar case of Douglas Ross. He thinks it's somehow acceptable to be simultaneously the Westminster MP for Moray, the Holyrood MSP for the Highland and Islands, and yet still find time to be a professional football official.
 
Drastic overhaul needed but this Nasty Party are not the ones who will do it. To many noses (sorry snouts) in the trough.

We need to pay MPs a higher wage - £150k + a set allowance for office, PM £250k. For this non of them should be allowed a second job whatsoever. No lobbying and no money for contracts to any ‘friends’ or family. The job of MP should be enough, any MP not spending at least 40 hrs a week doing their job as an MP is not doing it properly.

There is a political maxim that says every Labour government ends with the country in financial trouble and every Conservative government ends mired in sleaze and corruption. It appears given the polls that people in the country are happy for the Tories to take the piss out of them as long as the countries finances are in order. At the moment though the Tories face the perfect storm, not only are they sleazy and corrupt but the countries finances are fucked as well according to the ideals that the Tories have followed since Thatcher.

16 Tory party treasurers who gave more than £3 million to the Tory party got peerages, yes 16 , the bent cunts. Cox the bent **** spent lockdown earning millions advising the Government of the British Virgin Islands, a tax haven.

Johnson is to blame for all this disgusting corruption by his MP's as he cannot sanction them because he is a corrupt **** himself. The self entitlement of the fuckers is astonishing, they do not give a fuck as long as their own pockets and their mates pockets are bulging with money.

This investigative period will likely run up to the public inquiry, which will then begin examining the government, many of whose members will have already been stigmatised as too busy lining their own pockets: a decade later, ‘we’re all in this together’ is starting to come true.
