Foden is only 21 and he is not at his peak yet imo. I genuinely think a Ballon Dor is achievable considering how he is developing.

As I asked on the previous page what the fuck has Gascoigne got to do with it? When did he ever achieve anything to match his talent that put him even in the conversation?

After playing against Maradona and scoring a wonder goal . Maradona said Gascoigne could succeed him as the best
player in the world.
 


Still my favorite highlights of Phil from his 'debut season' . Even then his talent was clear as day.

& yet Beckham got runner up who had about half the talent of Gascoigne, so if Beckham can get runner up, I’m pretty sure there’s no reason to believe Foden can’t go one better

You do realise that over the past 18 months Foden has arguably been the best player for the team who’s won the league & were also runners up in the Champions League don’t you?

Maybe he could have .....if he hadn't pissed his career up the wall instead. If Phil goes off the rails and doesn't fulfill his potential there may be a valid comparison. Right now there isnt.

Saying Beckham had about half the talent of Gascoigne is being extremely generous to Beckham. It amazes me that there
are United fans out there who actually believe that Beckham was a more talented player than Grealish .
