He has always been on an upward trajectory in terms of league.
Going from the Bundesliga to France would be a backwards, retrograde step and not at all in keeping with his career path.
Only ‘destination’ competitions like the PL or La Liga make any sense now

In terms of leagues, sure. Interms of moving from Dortmund to PSG, still an upwards step is it not. If that was his next step followed by PL or La Liga, he would still have maintained his 'upward trajectory' path, where as going to PSG after one of those two is a step back down.

Not that I really think he would choose to go to PSG at his age, myself. I just dont think they can be ruked out so easily, theybare an attractive place too, they have big wages to offer, chance to play with many talented players including messi, easy league to rack up numbers and records in, almost guaranteed domestic trophies, and a right good crack at the CL. Plus huge exposure.

La Liga’s a bit decadent though. Maybe Mbappe revives it. Still hard without a strong Barcelona
Maybe you may have your wish, Messi returning to Barca rumours are mounting, and just maybe PSG would be happy to let him go home.

Mounting? Saw one article claiming his wife was missing Barcelona.

I know the kids are really looking forward to Santa and all that but can't we just skip forward to January and sign Haaland already?

What’s the source? I don’t see him going back at all. He’ll run down his PSG contract (surprised he didn’t time it to end with the World Cup) and then go to the MLS is my guess.

In a few UK newspapers , and talked about by Barca officials , may suit all parties, as far as PSG are concerned , it's been a disastrous signing.

In what way has it been a disasterous signing? Top of the league, going to qualify from CL group, had all the exposure and PR out if it they could have dreamed of. They are paying through the nose for it, but that was never an issue for them.

500k a week hardly played a game, scored once and clearly not happy in Paris.

The guy never wanted to leave Barca, he never has, and his heart is clearly still there.

I haven't followed it since the move to be honest, I hadn't realized he has hardly played.

Edit. 8 games in total, 3 goals (all 3 in CL). I see what you mean. Maybe he is upset at not getting his dream move, poor guy.

This always gets me laughing. We’re so poor! Real Madrid is in better financial shape than us. Lol
Our highest wage is the same as Madrid’s highest wage bar Bale (whose wage is from the “old” Madrid, they’re not doing that again). We offered Messi the previous summer more than PSG is paying him now.
But, sure, we would miss on Haaland because of money...

We can afford to pay Haaland 500k a week, but will we? No chance. Real Madrid or PSG or even United would do it at the drop of a hat. Ultimately our restraint is a good thing because if we gave him 500k soon De Bruyne and Dias and Bernardo would want the same, but it's totally reasonable to point out that we don't have the same willingness to chuck absurd wages at players as other clubs.
