And some people cannot see a huge pr machine and a compliant government desperate for likes.
EXACTLY.

"Boris the honey monster" fucked up the free school meals,
a U-turn was needed,
a "popular" footballer from a "deprived background" was pushed front and centre,
he said "what he thought" and all the attention went onto him and "his selfless actions",
the U-turn was made,
the footballer was honoured.

Isn't life wonderful, again!

PR at its finest. RIP "Major" Tom

Some people on here do not have the will to look past which team he plays for and accept he has used his fame for good In this instance.
There are some like that, but others focus on how his PR team have manipulated the narrative, to put Rashford front and centre, and for all the credit to be channeled towards him, to the extent he's now received the MBE.

If you look back, the original idea and campaign stemmed from the Co-op. They scrapped their usual planned Easter 2020 campaign, and used the money to promote a new national fundraising campaign for FareShare instead (and also donated £1.5 mil.).

Rashford originally only tweeted his support for the campaign, before a month or so later becoming the face / figurehead of the campaign. The campaign rocketed with his help (eventually making about £20 million - approx 10x the expected amount), and around this time was when he also asked how he could best use his influence to help overturn the government school meal voucher decision. Again with help and advice from the Co-op he then wrote the open letter to MP's which eventually led to the u-turn etc.

Further to this, he then got himself on 'The Times 2021 Giving List' where at first glance it appears as though he's personally donated £20 million (125% of his actual estimated wealth) to charities. As you can see this is absolute bollocks. The 20 million listed is the Co-op/ Fareshare scheme above of which he was mainly only the figurehead.

Personally i'm happy with his contribution and involvement, and how it lead to the extra millions generated and the government u-turn.
What i'm less happy about is the down-playing/ minimizing of the original Co-op/Fareshare scheme and the hard work and donations of the volunteers and other contributors.

What a hilarious compilation this is.....
Mr Flying Pig looks like his head is going to explode on the 2nd goal and there is a cockney woman presenting her channel who is actually wearing a sky blue top!
Pure comedy and not a Manc in sight. The first one has an Asian rag poorly attempting the nick nack paddy whack nursery rhyme

And in other news, the Titanic has hit an iceberg.

Manchester United attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes was forced to delete a post from his Twitter account on Saturday evening after committing a glaring mistake.

His PR team accidentally uploaded a post that was meant for the Twitter account of Arsenal attacker Gabriel Martinelli.

The mistake came just hours after United suffered their fourth Premier League defeat in their last six matches on Saturday lunchtime, going down 2-0 to cross-city rivals Manchester City, who made light work of their opponents.

Lead balloon time.

Not sure if it's a direct consequence of Rashfords campaign, but I heard on the radio this week there was a Minister For Child Poverty. In one of the richest countries in the world that is a disgrace. Sorry if slightly off topic
I'm not sure if it is a disgrace to have a Minister for Child Poverty . There is relative poverty in every country in the world regardless of how rich that country may be.
It will always exist.
That there is a minister whose brief it is to monitor, minimise or manage child poverty can only be a good thing.

This government don’t give too fucks about the working class in this country So well done Rashford and his PR team for taking them to task and forcing a U turn on the school meals policy .
Some kids only hot meal a day is when they get to school.
Whilst we are at it CR37 has paid for kids operations and off the football field comes across as a likeable guy.
Maybe they both benefit with their image but I couldn’t give a shite about that, their are bigger issues to bother about.
Now if their youth team player Jesse Lingard can sort out climate change , then what a happy place this world would be.
We all hate United the team, club, institution, whatever you want to call it but if any of their players are out there trying to do good in the world then that is to be lauded.

United's football is 20 plus years out of date. Tactics are still based on hoofing the ball long by the keeper, hitting it into the channels, and winning second balls. Those young players will just get worse and worse at United and the club will fnd it harder and harder to attract new talent.
1. Who is the current chief coach?
2. When did he play at the top level?
3. Who was his manager during this period?
4. When was said manager appointed?

Just seen this and it made me laugh (sorry if it has been posted already). Perhaps the fans in the clip had read it!

Basically, Pogba wants to stay but on the same money as Ronaldo.....

As Catherine Tate's nan would say..... "What a fuckin liberty!".

P.S. if United give this even a moments consideration, they are truly finished.
We all said signing fake and his ridiculous salary would cause trouble at rag central.
