The campaign seems to be hitting the mark; that is not in question.

What annoys the shit out of me though is that I'm certain Rashford's involvement is nothing more than PR. Almost as if his PR 'Team' have had a bit of a brainstorming session to work out which charitable cause will have the most positive impact on his profile and how best to spin it.

I'm sure St Marcus fully believes in what he's doing, but then his PR team will be right behind him, keeping his profile high and the cash rolling in.
Like every good PR team does.
Just the way it is.
I get the feeling he is more active in this case than what you think.

Some people on here do not have the will to look past which team he plays for and accept he has used his fame for good In this instance.
This government don’t give too fucks about the working class in this country So well done Rashford and his PR team for taking them to task and forcing a U turn on the school meals policy .
Some kids only hot meal a day is when they get to school.
Whilst we are at it CR37 has paid for kids operations and off the football field comes across as a likeable guy.
Maybe they both benefit with their image but I couldn’t give a shite about that, their are bigger issues to bother about.
Now if their youth team player Jesse Lingard can sort out climate change , then what a happy place this world would be.

Not sure if someone on here remembered this article in the DF:

It was funny than. It's even more funny now. And going by the last decade my guess is it'll be funny for probably another decade.

It doesn’t matter if he lived a childhood fit for a king or he lived in abject poverty. He highlighted a very real problem in this country of children not getting enough to eat.
Well done him.
Childhood obesity is a bigger problem, especially in the poorer areas.
Is Rashford not getting kids to eat a better diet though.
I hate the **** but even I can see the good he is trying to do in this case.
Is he trying to improve the diet? I don't know. I have never been to a food bank but when I have seen them on tv, they are full of shite. Crisps, juice and cheap baked beans.

It is early days but we are currently second and they are somewhere down there. Compare the Fails City second 11 to the rags first 11 and yet they got 9/10 compared to our 6 !!! Even playing 10 v 11 (mendy being ergh unavailable we'd beat them hands down)
I know they are desperate for clicks but that is just comical.

Man Utd has been playing badly for almost a decade, but they are still one of the richest clubs in the world. So I really impressed with the fact that they can keep having big income and reputation. And they are still extremely popular globally (back in my homecountry in Asia, people still discuss about Man Utd more than Man City).
So I wonder how can they do that, are they really better than our business department, and is there anything we can learn from them?

P/S: I cannot distinguish difference among business vs. marketing vs. selling vs. PR departments, so the terms "business/marketing" here is a very loose definition.

Un*t*d were in pole position to reap the rewards after Sky re-invented football in 1992.

And some people cannot see a huge pr machine and a compliant government desperate for likes.
I get what your saying but honestly footballers are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.
If he wasn’t helping millions we would be calling him a greedy footballer, but now he is helping millions now we call him a PR machine.

despite being a United player I always found him a decent lad, talks allot of sense and comes across as likeable.
obviously I want him to fail on the pitch but let’s not knock charitable acts off the pitch.

I would have found a way to stop.
It's only 55mph on U.S. freeways.
Assuming being an American Rag they wouldn’t have reacted to the flames until they passed the burning vehicle, 10 secs to disengage the cruise control with chubby fingers and pull over and you'ld be talking about a 300 yards waddle to assist. If a professional rag can’t be expected to sprint 5 yards to block a cross then surely it’s ok for a fat rag fan to carry on driving rather than assist a man trapped in a burning car rather than a 300 yard waddle. It sucks but that’s pretty much their level of logic.

I thought they all love a bbq out there.

Nobody ever condemned Vinny for all his charity work, yet it was barely reported in the press, if at all.

The problem with this article is they forgot the old adage … It’s not how deep your squad is, it’s how you use it !

Not sure if it's a direct consequence of Rashfords campaign, but I heard on the radio this week there was a Minister For Child Poverty. In one of the richest countries in the world that is a disgrace. Sorry if slightly off topic
I concur. Perhaps, after Marcus hangs his boots, you think he can become one and help us defeat child poverty globally? ;-)

Incorrect but it’s sad we live in a world where even if that may be true; which it isn’t, you’re more arsed about that than kids getting fed. Weird lot some of us.
What isnt true?

And which part of "I have no issue with rashford " didnt you understand? I've always said (On here too) that he does a good job and should be lauded.

But he doesnt do MORE of a good job that lets say kompany? He plays for Utd the biggest clickbait team in the world.

You lot blowing smoke up his arse should actually recognise the good that ALL players do, not just Utd ones

What isnt true?
