City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

Derby have had a deduction of a further 9 points because they have admitted breaches of accountancy rules. I wonder how the PL can, therefore, introduce a regulation which functions on a definition of related party deals which is itself a violation of accountancy rules.

Consistency is an accounting PRINCIPLE and they don't seem concerned by that, so why worry about rules?

Why isn’t it considered economic doping spending close to £500m on Sanchez, Pogba, Fred, Maguire, Ronaldo and Fernandes, plus millions a week in wages, on the back of a £400m debt loaded onto the club?
Because there is no evidence or research in the world that can prove these were performance enhancing purchases.

Easier to prove they bought dopes, not ‘dope’.

The PL trying desperately to squirm out of a very embarrassing situation. Liverpool's "evidence" is that our audited accounts are false. Ring any bells?
Hahahahahahahahahaaaaa!

The epitome of pointless bleating. No wonder we’re outstripping everyone else in terms of consistent performance.
Our focus is about developing ourselves rather than trying to stem the march of progress.

They tried and failed ( this time ) to steal the actual accounts so had to rely on the dipper fanbase made up version .

How can that be proved when the accounts are hidden away from sight in a tax haven?

This is not only BRILLIANT NEWS for all soccer fans in the US, but will add even more TV money to assist FFP for years to come:

“NBC Universal have signed a six-year broadcast deal with the Premier League to showcase the English top-flight in the United States until 2028, extending their coverage with exclusive rights for the Spanish language.”

The deal is worth $2.7Bn, versus the previous deal worth $1.2Bn!

For those who haven’t had the chance, you should check out NBC’s coverage, some of which is on YouTube.

Rebecca Lowe, the main host of weekend coverage, is, by far, the PREMIER female football host IN THE WORLD! There, I said it!!

An example of the The Lowe Down, her weekly, rapid fire, 5 Questions show on their YouTube channel.

P.S. Before anyone asks, she’s a self-confessed Crystal Palace fan.

Begs the question again, what on earth were the English clubs who joined that Super League fiasco thinking?

I think the Premier League will be bigger globally than the champions league within the next 5 years. It’s getting bigger and better every season, with the other European leagues declining.

I wonder whether they'll ever reverse the thinking and absorb the Spanish or other williing giants into the PL.
