No I remember that as well, we got beat 2-1 and you are right it was extremely cold that night as well. But the the nil all game was fucking freezing. It was the night we should of got a penalty near the end of the match with John Stones pulling Raz Sterling down.
 
Good win with some cracking goals. I said the same about Foden when he broke into the team but the thing i like about Palmer is that he's not trying to impress. He's playing his role in the team and doing it so far pretty well. His real test will be when the opposition start to know him and plan to play him - he's a bit of a unknown quantity at the minute which i think allows him some space. He had lots of time to play those nice little through balls.

McAtee had a nice little cameo. Rodri is stupid good right now. You don't need to run around when you're on top of your game and he's playing defensive mid higher up the pitch than most teams play their attackers. Also John Stones is everything Maguire is hyped up to be

We were better today without Grealish and KDB because everyone contributed. Foden struggled a little possibly out on the left. It is impossible to understate how good that opening goal was. I really like Cancelo. He had a nightmare of a game against Palace I think where every cross went wrong. He took it visibly too heart and since then he has been brilliant. I like players who respond to adversity.

Utd players fail, and are very apologetic. When our players have a bad game, they come back the next game and are better.
 
First time back since Covid. Some of our football this season has been so technically good. To see it live in front of you is another level of mind blowing.

pity about the food. It really is a rip off. Beer was ok. Nice to see our fellow S.c. Pals although there are a couple who haven’t reappeared.
good to be back.
 
That's 1 poor Everton team looked beat after a couple of mins. Nice stroll in the park hopefully kept themselves for Wednesday couldn't split rodri and cancelo for m.o.m also thought gundogan had a quality game which seemed to go unnoticed.
 
- That game typified where Sterling currently is. He worked hard, looked better when he had a chance to beat a man, and still has an instinct when he doesn't have chance to think about anything. But give him a second or two to decide and he still wants a touch when he shouldn't need one. I think we are past coaching that out of him, just hope he can limit it like he did when he was his best.

- Rodri is looking spectacular at the moment. Like the classiest, better passing Gareth Barry. Always happy to take the pass, his positioning is excellent.

- Get used to seeing more and more academy players coming through. Despite whatever anyone says about the money, the best part isn't the big money signings it is knowing that if players are good enough to break in to our team we are good enough to keep them.

- I love Silva when he is in his Duracell Bernie mode. The first goal came from a period of play he started out of nowhere by just turning up the pressure in the press and forcing everyone around him to keep up.

- I don't know if this Pep's best City team, but it is the most versatile imo. It feels like the model that he has been working towards where there currently isn't a player outside of maybe Rodri who I'd be overly concerned about missing. We also seem to be able to go up and down the gears depending on who we are playing.

- No surprise, but nice for Aguero to be celebrated as he was. I miss that chunky thighed bastard. Imagine a peak and healthy Aguero in this current City side.

- That Cancelo pass. Ooooft. Get that on pornhub.

- Feel for the Everton fans if that's what they have to watch week in and week out.

We were very good today - all that needed to be said imo.

Why the need to single players out who will all contribute to our performances over the full season ?
