Everton (H) - Post-Match Thread

He certainly seems to shit his pants more these days?

I always assumed it was only against Son and Spurs but he's getting caught on the wrong side of the player too much, as we saw against Zaha and also his booking today.
If we can mug off a Spanish club for decent money in the summer then it’s a no brainer.

He’s slow and just so easy to beat, also rash dives in and flailing boots at balls when panicking. He was dreadful in the second half, hence why Pep hooked him.

If Everton play like that they are going to end up in a relegation fight. I appreciate they are without their best two players but that was imo the weakest performance by a visiting Premier League side. The Premier League is now incredibly strong. Perhaps the strongest it has ever been. Leeds are 4th from bottom, and they can be a difficult side to play. Watford are 5th bottom and put 4 past Man Utd. Everton were insipid. As soon as Sterling scored it was game over. 2-3 more performances like that from Everton and the real scousers are going to get restless.

As soon as I saw McAtee backheel that ball inside the penalty area and then keep the ball, it was like a David Silva flashback.

Jesus Christ.

Keep making me eat my words, Rodri. With Bernie being your water carrier, you look like a Rolls Royce this season.

Have to agree with Pep, Walker is exhibiting form on a transcendental level.

Laporte is my only concern, every time I've watched him of late, he panics when getting far too touch tight.

Certainly lost a yard or two since the injury.

It’s just Lazy defending from Laporte, you look at Stones And Dias they will go through a player to get the ball. Put their bodies on the line. I don’t know if it’s because of Laporte’s injury past, why he’s so hesitant but he’s not up there with Stones and Dias.

Did what we needed to do. Had the feel of a Southampton type performance at times in that first half but when we went ahead it was cruise control.

Nice to see Sterling looking much sharper than he has done for a while. He’s due a run of form!

Wednesday and Sunday will surely provide sterner tests than Everton did today, they were flatter than a witches tits. If they don’t get Calvert Lewin back soon they’ll get dragged into the shit at the bottom of the table

Great to see Palmer get a start and McAtee looked very confident when he came on. I’d like to see him more in the side so we can see just how good he is.

Foden didn’t look right at all from the off. Hopefully whatever the knock he was carrying will be fine by Wednesday.

Just got in after a few post match pints

Gundogan man of the match for me. Totally controlled the game. Never gave it away once. Flawless
Thought Gundo was outstanding today, Rodders deservedly MOM but Kyle is just a beast, we have “not man of the match” couldn’t pick one today, suberb controlled performance.

Kyle is my hero, I just love the guy, a fucking beast in every sense of the word.

Just near the end he waited before turning on the afterburners as he wanted the pass to get made to that cnut Richarlison so he could get the chance to see if he could wallop him. Didn’t get it, but you could see him enjoying it.

Bit of handbags but, the blue dips like the red dips like a good spit dirty fuckers, luckily I'm out of gobbing distance where I'm sat in SS3. A few cops went up but didn't seem to do anything apart from stand there.
Bloke near me hit on the head by a coin, it drew blood. They threw a bottle one year in our direction in 211.

Loveable rascals aren’t they.

Not going to pile in on him, but if he's no longer committed to City and wants to leave, and Pep is happy that he can be allowed to move on, then so be it.

I have been disappointed with some of his performances but he's a City player and a human being. so there will be occasions when he isn't 100% effective.

City is more than any individual though .

Good job rags don't understand that with the portugese ponce !

I loved watching McAtee’s cameo today. He will be some player

Great performance today don’t think I’ve ever seen Neverton put a performance in like that we literally bossed them from the first min. Never felt more like singing the Blues

I really hate it when people say teams that City beat were shit. But seriously how fckin shit are Everton? Nothing against them as a club but they have spent millions over the last few years and they look worse than Burnley!

Best right back in the country by far

An easier game than i thought....what has happened to Everton...I know they have a few injuries but they had zero passion and none of the aggressiveness you usually get from them

We completely outplayed them and some great performances from Rodri, Silva, Sterling, Walker and Cancello
