Aston Villa (A) - Post-Match Thread

It’s like a divorce thin line between love and hate for some fans ( Alot of fans did clap him) Could have been a legend at Villa but will no doubt win trophies at city . Likely to become just a squad player at city.
I'd say far more applauded him than booed to be fair, the trouble is booing makes more noise than clapping.

He's been booed at every ground we've played at so far, so not unique to villa fans, yet when he come on to play for england, he gets cheered.

A reflection of how fucking sad most football fans can be.

What do you think of Mike Deans performance Stevie ?

Yeeeeerrrrr course, listen if he gives me that performance every week and can stay injury free, we are definitely staying up, like Wayne Rooney in an old peoples home, course.

Just fiddled around with Amazon Prime after full time just to see the goals. Can't be arsed watch MotD, and a couple of things need a bit of an airing. One, according to Townsend the first City goal wasn't 'a clean strike'! Lol! It was a clean a strike as any ref's whistle before it came out of the shop. And I saw Rodri giving away a free kick that when slowed down wasn't a foul but a blatant collapse to the turf, but Dean obliges - the touch by Rodri wouldn't have knocked over an empty cardboard box, and I compared that to the trip on Jesus in the Villa area with potently more force than the one Dean deemed a foul by Rodri. The former was a foul but the latter wasn't. Another example of City tackles being fouls and opposition fouls being tackles. No doubt PiGMOL will rate Dean as having had a very good game!

I thought the ref was OK.
No big decisions to make maybe apart from villa's penalty shout and he got that right.
Wasn't handing bookings out and let the game play.
It’s be nice if there was a bit more consistency in decision making. I see 2 Everton players were booked for diving tonight. I wonder when that last happened?

Villa dick heads booing Greelish. Your choice is stay with Villa and fight for mid table obscurity with the likes of Mings etc or play in the CL with Dias, Silva and KDB. None of those booing would make a different decision to Greelish given the same situation. Football fans! Black pudding for brains.

STERLING HATERS ?

matey people have a right to post their views and i think sterling was poor tonight but it does not make me a hater ?
its just a honest view and nobody is claiming to be right or wrong
It's fucking relentless and it's embarrassing, no matter how you want to dress it down

Your response just confirms my original post

you have to want more from players and please don't try and say you never give a negative post about players
sterling is a great player but the truth is he has lost his form a little for manchester city ? maybe off the field behind the scenes are the reasons why and we will never know

but does he start if everybody is fit ?

Just turned on tS, forgot it's that former part-time Spuds player hosting the show, I think it's another former Spuds defender with him tonight, anyway, according to those two Villa had us on the ropes in the second half.

What a sweet result against the classless Villa fans and their classless manager who couldn't give City any credit...even through gritted teeth. Grealish is well out of that posion pit...and after tonight I am sure he knows it.
