Watch RT they seem to find things out. There are a few honourable exceptions - am thinking Sam Coates, Beth Rigby and Kay Burley at Sky and Lewis Goodall at the BBC and James O'Brien and Eddie Mair on LBC but for the most part the Govt has journalism in its back pocket

Watch and learn. If the propaganda arm of the Russian State and its intelligent services can’t find things out then what hope is there for the rest of us?
Watch and learn.
Agree. He has made lying completely acceptable. I ducking hate the fact that people call him Boris. Realise for many it’s disparaging and born out of a lack of respect for him, but it gives him wiggle room. Ah, it’s only Boris, being Boris, harmless, what can you expect. A bit like the leeway Scholes got for his nasty tackles. Ah, typical Scholesy. Wankers. What people seem to forget about the Big Lie Johnson is peddling is how dangerous this man is and the damage he is causing

13.9 million voted for him despite, as you say, his long, long history of lying. He was sacked for it when a journalist and Michael Howard sacked him from the shadow cabinet for lying. But it’s ok, said 13.9 million people, it’s only Boris, arf arf. There were numerous articles about his disdain for telling the truth, prior to him becoming P.m.
People still voted for him, lots of them knowing he is a bullshitter.
As long as someone like that tells people what they want to hear, they'll keep voting for them.
That’s equally a reflection of the alternatives that were offered. All parties have been shocking for some time, ten years at least.13.9 million voted for him despite, as you say, his long, long history of lying. You get what you pay for, the Tories who voted for him and are now wringing their hands about him - really? Sheep led by donkeys.
Always has been where Tories are concerned. Looks like they want Johnson out and the ERG in. Johnson had the character to get the vote, now that’s done they want to get their policy’s in place.I think you are right , stinks and makes the press equally bent
Agree, the line up of potential leaders in 2019 was awful, though I think Labour policies, though too many of them in one package, were v good. And it has been about 12 or 13 years since the country was governed on all sides by statesmen and women. That’s equally a reflection of the alternatives that were offered. Yes I'm hopeful that Starmer is building something but I think as a country we need the Lib Dems to become a force again because the tories have a huge natural base, especially now Scotland is not there for Labour for the foreseeable.Agree, the line up of potential leaders in 2019 was awful, though I think Labour policies, though too many of them in one package, were v good. As another poster mentioned, the Clegg decision to support Cameron and Len McClusky choosing the wrong Milliband means we are where we are. Starmer has more gravitas and I’d like to see Yvette Cooper given a higher profile - country needs calm authority, not shrill shouting.
But there should be no shock and surprise at the current state of affairs by anyone who voted for Johnson.

and his name isn't even boris, apparently his friends and family call him Al or Alex. 'boris' was a character he developed at eton to stop him getting the piss taken out him because he grew up abroad. this of course posits a quite worrying scenario whereby 'boris' can lie through his teeth, but 'al' knows that 'that's just boris, i'm just playing a lying chancer' etc.Agree. You could argue BBC News is exactly the same.If the propaganda arm of the Russian State and its intelligent services can’t find things out then what hope is there for the rest of us?
