Has anyone had both the flu jab and the Covid booster at the same appointment? I've never had the flu jab before but thought I might as well when it was offered to me when I booked for my Covid booster.
If you have, did it make you poorly? I wasnt great after my first Covid jab but was fine after my second.
It's just that I've heard of someone (a friend of a friend) who was ill for a week after having both of hers at the same time.

had them 3 days apart and was fine luckily.

So to summarise, those on here who are constantly telling anyone who will listen that the scientists and experts are wrong have no qualifications in the field of virology or epidemiology at all. None, nada, zilch.

Does anyone remember that charlatan last year who was a data analyst telling everyone that the experts have got it wrong and there would be no 2nd wave only to be proved that he knew fuck all and vanish from the thread. All the people who agreed with him then and slagged off the experts are doing the exact same thing now.

How many so far?
How many admitted with just omnicron?
How many with other conditions?
Shit data collection. Shit analytics. Shit reporting.
Just encouragement for the antivaxer and antimasker brigades.

It’s early days. Will report when I find out more.

I know it’s not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but if the football goes back to being behind closed doors I will be absolutely gutted. Concerned that it looks inevitable that this will indeed happen.

Football is my escape from the world in which I struggle daily from my extreme anxiety and other mental health problems. It’s like a comfort blanket and without fans it’s just not the same.

Pathetic I know but it’s the truth

This will get me banned or labelled a rag, but bar the first couple of games in the sunshine and the novelty of being back at City, going to the game is a pain in the arse, with the shit public transport in the cold and rain etc.

I don’t want it to go back behind closed doors at all, but my passion for matchdays has eroded away a lot this season.

That's not pathetic at all mate. Its entirely rational and normal to feel that way.

I doubt it mate, the vaccines still work so would be totally unjustified. Everyone has been offered a jab so no need to go through that again.

Anyone who isn’t comfortable going can make the choice not to go, let the rest carry on.

Scotland cases today doubled week to week at over 4000 for second day running. But positivity rate is only up a little so many more tests are being done. Omicron obviously a part of this BUT hospital patients still falling day to day and week to week there. Details on the Data thread.

Thats right just bury your head in the sand.
If the models were remotely accurate I would be SUPPORTING them.

I feel the same . Couldn’t go to the WHU game because the 1 train a hour from Romiley was packed out and they wouldn’t let us on . Went home and watched it on television instead.

I hate to break it to you mate , but those on the football threads slagging off sterling or criticising pep aren’t actually professional footballers You know?

Everyone has been wrong at some point during the pandemic, including every expert out there. Opinions on a football forum aren’t going to make any difference.

I've always understood football was supposed to be an outlet for stupid partisan tribal bullshit human nature, not a practice run for real life.

52 all settings deaths - was 54 last Sunday

44 in England - was 41 last Sunday

48,854 cases - down 5219 on yesterday BUT up 4962 on last Sunday

England only 40,713 - down 7827 on yesterday AND up 3317 on last Sunday

A much better day for both the North West and Greater Manchester today. Almost everywhere down and GM had a lower share of the region too.

Bury though seems to be the new problem area - for the first time I can recall this usually low scoring borough (up to recently it was consistently the one with the fewest cases each week in the ten boroughs) has been rising all week and is second only to Manchester today in the numbers with a huge for such a small borough 198 cases after 199 yesterday - and a Pop Score rise on the day over 100 for the second day running. Very unusual to be in three figures on that here too.

Though after 534 yesterday Manchester was miles down on just 293.

Day to day numbers do fluctuate but Bury is certainly in a spot of trouble right now as the past week steady rise shows and I suspect likely has Omicron pushing such a consistent and sudden escalation more than double where it was 10/12 days ago.

Full regional and local data later on the other thread.

Weekend data is usually low as fewer tests. So it may be Tuesday/Wednesday before we can be sure of any pattern.
