So you lead a race for all but one of the laps and without a crash and safety car you will romp to victory. Then one lap changes everything due to the imbeciles in charge of the running of the race.

How on God’s Earth can that be right and justifiable?

It’s going to CAS. No change in result and Merc take it. Change the result and RBR take it there.

It’s a huge fucking mess because of one man who is simply not up to his job.

Carl Doon was on the grid today for the opening proceedings, I’m sure he can put Toto in touch with some of his legal top boys and girls if they go to the CAS.

What does it mean to let those cars go through? It looked to me that Verstappen was asked to go in front of them, so it was him that went through.

Also, why would it have made any difference if the other lapped cars had gone through? Surely, the restart would still have been with Hamilton and Verstappen in first and second place anyway?

But Masi caved in and allowed it when it is against all the know rules, so how does that work if Mercedes appeals, as I said surely they would win that appeal as those 5 cars should have been still in between the two cars, as the 'normal' rules.
Masi is at fault IMO and it should be overturned on appeal.

I dont often watch F1 because I dont have sky, I used to love watching it when it was on terrestial TV years ago But for me F1 has lost any credibilty with that shambles at the end, I am not a big fan of either driver but to end the race like that is just not right.

I think it's clear to see the FIA have fucked this up, went for the drama over the sport.

The rules were clear and it's the whole reason Mercedes went with the strategy of not pitting under the safety car. If they had pitted, Red Bull would have stayed out knowing it would end under the safety.

No but maybe a share of performance data next season , or whatever would improve the car next season, I don't know much about f1 but I'm sure there's plenty of friends on different teams

Because those cars should have been in between Max and Lewis, meaning Max would have to overtake 5 back markers and then Hamilton in one lap and that isn't going to really happen.

The rule is racing will not restart until one full lap after all cars lapped have gone through. That would have taken it into the last lap under yellows and behind the SC and the race is over.

Merc and Lewis have been shafted.
