Etihad Atmosphere - 2021/22

Wouldnt be surprised if the Leeds fans took the piss taking to another level tonight. Hopefully they'll be enough retort for a better atmosphere.

They will whether there's 1 in the home end or a thousand.

Your grounds too big for you.
Worst support we've ever seen
Your support is fucking shit.

Same songs away fans have sung at every away game for decades.

Water of a ducks back.

I'll be leaving Leicester about 4pm today, hoping to arrive and gain access to 116 before kick-off. With a good run, in a couple of hours I can be hitting M6 J19 and on the final stretch. The final stretch can take as little as 45 mins at weekends, but mid-week can take anything from 45 mins to a couple of hours, depending on how lucky we are.

After the match, forget getting back to Leicester any time before 1am.

Thanks for listening.
In somewhere like Germany that journey would be about 45 minutes by high speed train, there would be return services back well into the early hours, and the cheapest train ticket would be about £10. The UK has now got one of the worst transport systems in Europe, possibly in the world, now that Africa and most of Asia has cheap high-speed rail.

Out of interest do you go round the M60 and in from Ashton/Denton, or do you go through the city centre?

Depends on traffic mate, either down the 56 and the parkway or denton or stockport and A6. Its a lottery getting in, but go over the hills on the way back, to sheffield and down M1. Depending on what roads have overnight closures.

Weekends its a piece of piss, few beers with mates in the Grove after the match, traffic gone, then head across the hills.

Leeds fans can generate a decent atmosphere at times for sure and I'd expect them to do so tonight as it's still a novelty for them being back in the Premier League, but I would add that I thought they were disappointing when we last played them at home in the FA Cup in 2013 even though they had about 6000 in the ground.

I'm also expecting them to take a few liberties in town as they will be here in numbers early doors just like they were when they played United first game of the season, so any blues having to go through town to get to the ground just be on your guard.

Join in with them reminding everyone " Sancho and Rashford let the country down ". Both sets of fans would sing anti rag chants at Maine Rd.

Driving in from buxton this season has been a joke.
Takes nearly an hour and a half

If you look on the stadium plan in the earlier post both those blocks are linked to the away section
Well that will make tonight's game more interesting! Also they will have to walk through the city fans to get to the entrance gates as they in they are in the middle of the south stand. And they're free to mingle with all the other second row City blocks... and I have my ticket, Guess they are whitened out for another reason.

Hospitality most likely.

when we fell on hardish times, the club introduced the 95 quid juinior season ticket, which you could purchase all the way around the ground, it was a brilliant initiative, i happily purchased one for colin bell tier 3 alongside 2 more expensive adult ones, then success came along and that initiative went, and evers since that day, i have shfted my tickets to where i can afford to take my family, we have been in the family lower and upper since then, but now have taken SS3 because it's the only place i can afford all 4 tickets, it's felt like every year the club has squeezed us to the edge of attending, i wonder how many have been squeezed out forever

my dad continued 2 of the 3 season tickets this year just for the sake of someone to go with him.

He gets over 65 prices whilst we were adult in CB Tier 3.

I think if he didn't class for that he wouldn't of bothered. I know I have other priorities to go to every game now.

Plus my two little ones don't like going every week to city so dont want to force something on them

No offence mate but your group is a bit of a joke. The reason why no-one bought into 1894 is because it's run by a bunch of old men that like to follow every health and safety regulation and it's just not the 'cool' thing to do. Something like this this needs to come from the youth, and people will join if the hype is there, everything has just got to come together at the right time.
Without sounding a dick, I kind of agree. Can’t fault 1894 passion and everything they have done for the fans, iv donated in the past and always look out for if there planning things for games. But you can’t have an ultra type group that follow rules as daft as it sounds, imagine union bears being told what to do, not congregating because of COVID. It has to be full on all in or not atall otherwise it just hasn’t got the pull. I’m glad we have them tho a sits better than nothing.

I know similar problems over atmosphere like what we are experiencing used to happen at ibrox but now the UBS seem to have sorted it out (yes I know some of the stuff they do isn’t for everyone)
The union bears are bang on mate, brilliant display, pyro and the chants are second to none.
