F1 Season 2021

I think at the end of the day it was just a small part of the championship in an epic year long battle.

Mercedes had loads of good fortune. Like the British GP where Hamilton took Verstappen out the race and then had the luck to have a red flag to have the damage he caused repaired. Or Imola where he went a lap down because of a mistake in tricky conditions lapping back markers and then again because of a red flag he was put back on the same lap as the leaders.

Or Bottas handily causing Verstappen to get his car so badly damaged that he couldn't even beat the Williams in the race.

We didn't see a one lap shootout, we saw a whole championship of racing that decided who won. Hamilton did nothing wrong in the last race and was unlucky. But as my above examples show he had had ridden his luck in multiple occasions previously and these things tend to balance themselves out.
From my perspective I’m not interested in what was done within regulation throughout the course of the year, I’m interested in the integrity of a sport that I’ve followed for a fair number of years. You may hide your glee for MV being given a title but there are many out there who just wanted to see the best man win, by fare means.

I see Mercedes didn‘t bother to attend the official F1 prize giving ceremony, not even to collect the Constructors Trophy. Seems they could not bring themselves to validate the season.
I cant say as I blame them, just stand there smiling when they know the whole thing was a complete shambles.

I would have done the same, Lewis was cheated of victory plain and simple.

To be fair, I think both have been cheated and neither will get the accoldaes that they deserve.

Totally understand the Mercedes view, how could they turn up for a title that was completely false. Even worse, and I do not blame MV for this, is how RB celebrated the title. The interview with Horner that I seen today was all about Horner, and it was obvious to see that he wanted his Aguero moment, just like the FIA and Sky. The difference is that the ending to the the 93.20 was on competitive reward, not by corrupt means.

Sky/FIA, you fucked it up. Many subscriptions cancelled, why would you pay to be lied to?

I was hoping for a scortched earth policy from Mercedes, a full pull out from F1, Lewis to retire, a big fat fuck you to

And let little lord Maxleroy crash onto anyone who tried to pass him for the next ten years.

Now I hope that Lewis is thinking, I'm gonna show this chancer and the world who the true champion is*

Only just been given the top job and the ticket is already talking out of both sides of his mouth!

"If there is any breach, there is no forgiveness in this," Ben Sulayem said.

Asked to clarify whether he was saying Hamilton would be penalised for not attending the gala, he said: "Forgiveness is always there. But rules are rules.”

Which is it??

Maybe Lewis can tell them he was having his hair done and being fitted for his suit for his visit to Buckingham Palace for his KNIGHTHOOD!

Dont blame you for not wanting to clcik on the link. Here's the headline:

Lewis Hamilton may be punished for not attending awards ceremony, says new FIA president

Good luck with that one, LH will just say that he was busy picking up a rightful award from the British monarchy.

Can you imagine what is being said by the other pit teams about this farce. There must be a real sour taste.
