Well if you think about the fee we got from Torres, it only takes like 20m more to get him.I am. but I think people think this guy costs peanuts. Torres we paid 25m, this guy is coing to cost nearly 80m.
The concern for me is whether that space is there to exploit for us. Whenever we sign an attacker they really have to come to grips with playing against a constant low block. We compress the space in attack so much and everyone is so terrified that little clever movements can just be met by the next defender. And we ask our striker to be consistently outnumbered 2 or 3 to 1 in central positions while we try to create overloads out wide. In my view a great striker for our system instinctively attacks cut backs and crosses and can generate power quickly as the shooting spaces are fleeting
Bony looked good in the Premier league...Tells us nothing, in the german league Werner looked good.
his allround game is better than Haaland currently. he is much better in finding space than Haaland right now. haaland has much more x-factor that he can develop into something amazing. it all comes down to how long we are willing to go without a striker and hedge bets on riolaThere in lies the problem for me, I don't think his all-around game is good enough to operate in the tight spaces our forwards are left in. Serie A is at such a weak point in it's history as well.
I think the argument could equally be made for Haaland but he's at least got a ridiculous Champions League scoring record to say he can do it on the big stage.
I don't watch Serie A, have never seen Vlahovic play in live match, but we can see in Europe that Italian teams are very weak. I really don't know If this kid is going to be good enough as all players look amazing in these montage videos. I'd like to think though that the City scouts will have watched every main moment he has played warts and all.Anyone who thinks Serie A defenses give a lot of space hasn’t been watching Serie A
He can only play against whats In front him.
but then the premier league has shit defences/defenders. Not just Serie a.
Newcastle will want to get rid of some of their squad players.I can us signing a striker that has not even been mentioned on here tbh .
I don't think Bayern would cash in 2bh.I can us signing a striker that has not even been mentioned on here tbh .
2014 City legend…Newcastle will want to get rid of some of their squad players.
Cheeky bid for Dwight Gayle? (debating whether a wonky face is needed here)
Given the all out effort Spuds seem to be putting into feeding the meeja that they are after Haaaland, I suspect that they have already mentally signed off Kane, who I suspect was greatly unsettled by the shennaigans last summer... maybe you have a point mateI don't watch Serie A, have never seen Vlahovic play in live match, but we can see in Europe that Italian teams are very weak. I really don't know If this kid is going to be good enough as all players look amazing in these montage videos. Imagine watching a Sterling montage with him Scoring 100 plus goals, without any other knowledge we would desperately be craving him. You need to see all the goals, attempted goals, chances missed, successful and attempted assists, his pass completion and not just as a statistic. I think the thought of missing out on Haaland clouds my judgement, that said I think I would rather have him than Kane.
We're going to sign Kane aren't we!?
