The Guardian, particularly that fat sex pest Glendenning (who has been hugely insulting about us and our owners) and Brewin (who we believe ran a Twitter troll account specifically having a go at people like me and Rabin) are resolutely anti-City so that's interesting to hear.

Rudd is a particularly sad case as she's both a qualified coach and referee. Of all those useless, KFA twats, she should at have have some credibility when talking about the game and refereeing decisions yet she's one of the most ridiculous pundits around.
Aware of Glendenning and his faux moral compass but less so Brewin but doesn't surprise me as he is irreverent about most things. He did surprise me on one occassion when he wasn't taking the piss and said city shirts out number everyone else iirc at his son's school/football team in Macc.

Hopefully £40million pa with a bonus £1million per booking that mentions Mcfc. Just to ruffle some feathers. One of the replies says “they don’t give a shit”. Correct. Nor should we.

The Premier League champions have already seen a host of sponsorship deals agreed with brands in Abu Dhabi, including shirt sponsor Etihad Airways and official partners the Etisalat Group and Visit Abu Dhabi.

It is widely suspected that those deals are inflated by City’s close ties to the UAE, and this has come into light again following a new deal confirmed on Tuesday.

Emirates Palace, owned by the Abu Dhabi government, are now their Official Luxury Hotel Partner – or whatever that means – and fans have responded with scepticism.

Many took to social media on the announcement of the deal to note its convenience for a club that is already enjoying the benefits of a financial gulf.

Liverpool fans were among the most critical…

With the deal being labelled as a 'partnership' and not 'sponsorship' i'm willing to guess this will fall under threshold limit for review by the PL.

Delighted to see via the latest team of the week from that nice Mr Garth Crooks (BBC football page website) that City actually beat Arsenal 3-2. I must pay more attention, and am so glad that that future of the written word is in such safe hands…
Crooks has "honoured" Ake with selection in his TOTW. The actual Ake write up gives him 2 mentions and the majority is about Gabriel's sending off.

I suppose any scousers visiting the UAE will now be staying at a Travelodge.

He's moved out of Didsbury and now back in Yorkshire to be close to his in-laws.
Discovered this listening to the weekly pod he does with Hugh Ferris :), Wyeth and Andy Hinchcliffe. All besties.
Tend to skim through but main enjoyment nowadays is looking for his subtle (or not so subtle if you know he is at it) City digs. He does have a big engaging football brain but he's now the biggest **** in the media for me on the back of the sly shit and lies he comes out with...
Yes, you are spot on; sometimes it’s outright, and sometimes subtle or ‘clever’.

I listened to the Monday night 5 live show a couple of weeks ago, and for 1 hour 55 mins it would be difficult to not see his point on a whole range of footy issues they discussed; I didn’t always agree with him, but no drama, sensible stuff.
However with 5 mins left, in the middle of a sentence about something else, he drops in that we are state owned, and continues on without pausing, as if it’s a given, an uncontested, uncontroversial point of fact, and means one of other panellists or host has to derail the conversation if they want to challenge it - with 5 mins left… That’s the sort of sly stuff that he does.
I’d still have liked the host or one of the others to pick him up on it, but they didn’t. On that occasion he tried his best to allow no time for it, but the presenter should still have picked him up on it.

I suspect that is the point we are testing

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a deliberate provocation by our owners or MCFC or CFG. The amount of the sponsorship cannot be significant.

It seems we are not so passive as some would believe and there are things happening in the background where we are starting to see the disruption taking place in our "enemies".
