The Colston Four

It's a good point. Getting our society to split into two angry tribes spitting the terms 'woke' or 'gammon' at each other has probably been one of the more spectacular examples of divide and rule in our nation's history. It's weird that within the last 10-15 years we've gone from there not being much discernable difference between left and right (a concern during the end of 'new labour') to a point where we apparently have no centre.

Because all those people he listed have centrist political views...

He is going red in the face and getting "hot under the collar" and reacting in an extreme fashion to Charlie Stayt taking the piss about the size of a minister's flag , why can't we call him Gammon?

Here you go, someone else calling him Gammon.

Yeah it’s the sad fucking left wing vs ring wing shite on Twitter that I couldn’t care for.

Just stop bringing up skin colour.

It’s not about "SkIn CoLoUr" as has been explained by numerous people over the last pages.

Go back and read Gammon tendency if you didn't understand it the first time.

Or try the full extract in the link below.

More Gammon.

Think there’s still quite a lot of people in the middle just sat there despairing at the whole thing tbh.
Yes, that's how I see it. Twitter in particular should have been a great democratising and empowering force, but instead it's just become a load of angry cunts obsessing about each other.

It originally started as skin colour and now you’re applying it to whatever political position you disagree with.

I don’t do politics and I don’t do skin colour, there’s the difference.

No I'm not. I'm using it against people who make emotive arguments without having a full grasp of details and a complete understanding of the subject, or make jingoistic contrarian arguments to appeal to people who get worked up over things such as flags, statues and other symbols.

"full burden of proof" "deterrent" and her general performance reveals PP in this clip to be a gammon.

If she had said, I believe a certain section of criminals deserve the death penalty and I'm prepared to accept collateral damage of innocent people being killed as a consequence, it would be different.

I wouldn't agree with her, but she wouldn't be a gammon, because she wouldn't have made an intellectually dishonest and ignorant argument to cover up her lack of understanding.

The reason it’s called gammon is because it’s referencing a pink face of angry people, only white people get pink when angry and therefore it’s racism.

You can talk about flags or statues or symbols but plenty of people on the left get worked up about those things and I’m convinced you don’t call this you agree with gammon.

I think your problem is, you’re in a tiny subsection of society that doesn’t like any form of patriotism but can’t understand why nobody else agrees with you.

I think it’s time to “wake up”.

Apart from the fact I have spent the last few pages listing non-white gammons.

As ever you like to draw strawmen.

Award and meal voucher sent in the post.

As I’ve said you’re drawing your own definitions of the phrase now to appear not racist.

Everyone knows it was targeted at white men beyond the age of 50 to begin with. It’s discriminatory.

It’s out of order and childish beyond belief and you know full well, because you’re very intelligent.

cool. People can change its name but like the MEN its most prominent and recognisable name is how it'll be known.
The concert hall previously known as Colston? I think you've rather proved you don't have much interest in what happens in Bristol.

It has nothing to do with skin pigmentation and everything to do with anger.

Heightened blood pressure, resulting from repressed anger, engorges tiny veins just below the skin's surface with blood, resulting in a reddened blotchy appearance, hence gammon.

Is this "skin colour" thing serious? White people talking about white people as "gammon" is about race?

I’ve seen people from all sides of the political spectrum get angry.

Good and Wikipedia state it’s aimed at white middle aged men, who go pink.

It’s racism, pure and simple.

Who knows if they’re white or not?

All I’m saying is let’s not talk about skin colour.

Seems very difficult in 2021/2022 for some reason.
