Are you kidding lucky if we get 15000 in for thisIts not 1980. Anything under £30 will be okay.

My first trip to Maine Rd we were at home to Spurs in the FA cup quarter final rags at home to Everton same day. We kicked off at 3 30 they kicked off at 2 30 we won 1 0 nil they lost I think by the same score. Feared mither in town but didn't see any, rags all pig sick at school on Monday , only 53 years ago, seems like yesterday.Yes, I regret that. Years ago – forget which match it was, but it was a winter's afternoon, and the dusk was drawing in, must have been an early round – I was at the top of the Kippax, and across the city I could clearly see the floodlights of that other place. Like seeing Mordor lit up in the gathering gloom. We'd both been drawn at home that day. This was of course in the days when all kicks-off, as near as nothing, were at 3 p.m. I sort of liked it. I thought of them at the top of the Stretford End and looking across the city with hatred at our lights, and us looking back at them in the same way.
One of the most apt descriptions I've read of that place. You're the poet laureate and I claim my 5 pounds.and across the city I could clearly see the floodlights of that other place. Like seeing Mordor lit up in the gathering gloom.

Never noticed you could see the swamp from the Kippax , must have been a couple of miles north west. One of the most apt descriptions I've read of that place. You're the poet laureate and I claim my 5 pounds.
Instead of closing upper tiers just make it kids for a quid all over, give fans a chance to come cheaply
Yep, in previous years Fulham have had the most poorly supported away section that I can remember. They’ll be over 35k there and 50 Fulham fans
Cheers for pointing that out, hadnt realised. In that case I’m even more keen to see a Villa win tomorrow. If Utd get through, they will probably play on the Saturday, as they play away at Burnley on the Tuesday after.
They won’t want us both at home the same day, so we’ll probably be the Friday night or Sunday afternoon.
exactly - if it’s a Saturday I’d expect a big crowd. It’s down to timings more than anything no? I know pricing is huge but in recent years 3pm saturday cup games have been close to capacity due to the time and good pricing?

All depends on what prices Fulham agree to.Last time we played them 2 years ago in the same round, there were 39000 there and ticket prices were £10-30 for adults (the latter being Aguero 93.20 seats and bar). Kids were £1 in family stand then ranged from £5-20 elsewhere. Would imagine it will be similar.

I think they must have the lowest away following in the country. I can't remember them ever bringing more than a few hundred fans to Maine Road or the Etihad. They are too posh to leave leafy West London for a trip to the frozen north. This one will have to be kids for a quid.Yep, in previous years Fulham have had the most poorly supported away section that I can remember.
