I think his heads gone again
Something going on with him, certainly. Has looked decent when he's played but doesn't seem to have been able to put in a decent run of training. And wasn't there a champions league match missed for "personal reasons"?

Wonder if it's the old niggling injuries again or if he's hit another rough patch personally. Or both, I guess.

I'd be interested to know whether City have been training since the Cup game, and who is available for the weekend.

I am hoping that Spurs give Chelsea a good game tomorrow night. Spurs were useless in the 1st leg. We could do with Spurs getting an early goal so that Chelsea can't stroll around and take it easy.
Despite the 2-0 lead they will need to have a decent line up in because of covid and they are light on in replacements

they even had 5 or 6 players in the starting line up against Chesterfield that could be in their starting line up against us.

Anything can happen of course but seems to me Chelsea have already set themselves up for 3rd spot and a tilt at the Cups.

They play us with 2.5 days rest whilst we've had over a week to prepare for them. If we have a full team out we should make it a really high tempo game for 90 minutes, they will likely wilt 2nd half and run out of legs. I'd take 1 - 0 but like to pump them by a load.

Chelsea have to put out a good side tomorrow since the FA Cup is their only option at hardware. I think they'll lose either way but if Tuchel even mentions fixture congestion they've already lost in their minds. I like to see City start off in 2nd gear to give them a sense they might be able to hang and they crank it up at about 20 minutes. They'll be spent chasing 2nd gear City and won't have the answer for top gear City.

Aren't Chelsea in the semis of the League Cup as well, so still in both domestic cups and Champs League as holders? I suspect they have an eye on all 3 still tbh.

Hope you’re ok.
Plenty of fish and meat and vegies and AHT will be a good as new in 6-8 weeks.

If the forecasts regarding how many in the UK will get the virus in the next 6-8 weeks its a good thing he will be a home recuperating , the downside if the predictions are only 30 per cent correct there won't be much premiership football to watch.

If we have any aspirations in wanting to win the CL this season , i think we need to be playing Stones and Dias together. We look a lot more solid and less vulnerable imo.

You may be right. I hope we'll have Stones available and in top form. But we may be underestimating our defensive record with Laporte. We have conceded 13 goals in 21 league games. That's excellent! Before Leicester, we had conceded 9 goals in 18 league games. That's outstanding. We conceded 3 goals vs Leicester because we were 4 goals up and stopped to play (and also because we didn't have Rodri and Walker).

Now imagine that we had Stones (2 starts) instead of Laporte (17 starts). You say we look "a lot more solid" with Stones and Dias. Would you translate that in numbers? We had conceded 9 goals in 18 games prior to Leicester. How many would we have conceded with Stones and Dias? 3 goals? 5 goals? 7 goals?

IMO, it's a myth we are "a lot more solid" with Stones and Dias. It depends on their form. Dias was a world beater last season, but played too many minutes and lost a bit of form (both with us and Portugal). Both Stones and Dias were poor in the CL final, especially Stones who was all over the place. And now people want us to believe Stones is the key to winning the CL? They may be right! But I think the consensus is a bit premature. Time will tell. The most important thing now is that Stones regains form and stays fit for more than 3-4 games.

chelsea have a few missing still dont they? Mendy, Chilwell and Reece James at least?
Mendy, James, Chilwell, Chalobah all out. Kante and Silva 50/50, but I assume would be out of isolation so will come down to a late fitness test - might be an off the bench job.

Just been told by a Chelsea fan mate to expect 5000 inflatable champions league trophies on Saturday. Funny fuckers.
