In my eyes this is no different than whoever it was addressing Neil Warnock as "Colin".
Whether by accident or deliberate it doesn't matter it shows they are thinking about us.

Try speaking to the local Spanish people about football and see what they think about City from the press bullshit they are fed all positive??
Yeah, I think we have more important stuff to talk about tbh.
I imagine if I asked your question they would look at me as if I’d gone mental.
You worry, I won’t. I mean, I’d expect that to be the end of it but if the last word is your thing then crack on.

Just returned from Spain.
Had a young Spaniards doing a bit of work in the garden, we got chatting about football. He really disliked City, the Saudi Arabian owners are terrible, football is being ruined in his opininion because of City spending. A nice young bloke , but I didn't tip him-)

No different to Mike Wedderburn ripping the piss out of United’s trophy parade where he said;
“wow, it’s nearly three deep in some places” when talking about how many people were there.
and after Ferguson said “and they say Manchesrnited fans don’t come from Manchester”… Mike came back on air and said “yes, they do say that don’t they?!

Or Clive Myrie bursting into a laughing fit live on BBC News when United were knocked out of the CL.

We loved those things, so let Beglin have his little Liverpool moment against us and move on.

Christ what the hell happened to our fanbase?! We used to have the thickest skin of any fans in the country. Yet we’ve become this sensitive bunch of touchy soft arses since the takeover. Fuck me, toughen the fuck up will you all!

If we had a full ground every week the “emptyhad” tag wouldn’t exist,

This comment was broadcast over most of the world, I am ok with banter from other team fan boys but for an alleged football commentator to come out with that shit is, in my opinion, unforgivable.
You’ve set the bar fairly high methinks for acts that are unforgivable.

Thick skinned, are you calling me fat ?

All the holier than thou fans on here who back Beglin or say to fellow fans 'you are a Daily Mail reader' (lm sure they end that with a 'ner' )should look at Mike Summerbee ex England and City player and director has been banned for many years by satellite broadcasters for forecasting City's rise. It was his opinion as an ex footballer and fan.
Berlin was paid to be professional and that's what he should so even on little things.
He should leave the banter. to the fans. It's what fans do. Professional broadcasters should be professional.
Ian Cheeseman was sacked by the BBC for saying what every blue in the ground was thinking about the devious tricks of Chelsea at that time.
All commentators are equal but some are more equal than others.

Noel Gallagher summed it up best on a recent podcast when he said 'I don't care about the people who aren't there, I care about the people who are'.

We need to stop being so senstive about this stuff, we are not a 60,000+ stadium club anyway. Consistently getting 50k+ is fine which we do.

By comparison Real Madrid and Barcelona (istory clubs) average like 38k supporters a week, but nobody says anything about that at all.

If the prices were right and we had an iconic vocal stand, we could fill a 65,000 stadium every week with just people from Greater Manchester.

I know bloody loads of Blues who don’t go to games, bloody loads!

Whilst I agree, the club is still one of the cheaper grounds to buy tickets at. Relative to the rest of the league anyway.

My personal view is that £35 is about right for football games in this league, but theres no clubs who charge under £45 for memory.

I doubt anybody is backing him. Just people's levels of caring differ.

I'm re-watching yesterday's game on nowsports 1. Beglin just mentioned the 'Emptyhead' remark and soon corrected himself when he realised. For the next minute or two he hardly said a thing. When he started talking again he was definitely mulling over What he'd said because his patter wasn't as smooth it was previously.

But i found it quite amusing. Certainly nowt to get worked up about from my POV.

He usually does the same thing whenever we score.
