After a lot of research and trying many different watched I finally decided to go with this
Thanks for the feedback to my previous questions
Screenshot_20220205-163616_Gallery.jpgEdit,

After having this "watch " for 3 weeks it has now stopped working if it is left for more than 5 hours. I brought a longines for my wife, this gains five minutes every day. From my experience, NEVER buy a longines watch

Had similar problems with my Longines. My Rolex also had a problem in gaining a few mins every day but took it in for a major service before Christmas and it's been ok since.

While it was being serviced, I picked up a (comparatively) cheap Tissot and I have found it to be more reliable than the above-mentioned. I choose to wear that one more often than not these days. For a fraction of the price it feels and looks (IMHO) equally as good and I won't be spending any large amounts on luxury watch brands again.

I feel your pain. I promised my wife that I would buy her a reliable watch and I wanted to treat myself for the first time in my life. To say that I am upset is an understatement

Just came across this thread, I actually never see people wearing watches anymore! I never had a watch myself I just always checked my phone for time. What is it about watches people like? (Don't state the obvious nt saying telling the time"). Is it style or just an easier way to check the time instead of your phone.

I have never seen the point in them personally.

The pleasure for me was not the "look at me" aspect rather having a nice piece of engineering on my wrist than I can appreciate when I look at it. Unfortunately due to longines very poor quality that has been denied me despite spending a lot of hard earned cash

Strap on my wife's Rolex broke and they want a ridiculous amount to replace it. Will probably end up doing that and then selling both mine and hers. We won't miss them.

Sounds shite mate. Are you wearing it for long enough during the day so that the power reserve is maintained at a high level?

The Swatch Group owns a whole variety of watch brands, including Swatch, Omega, Rado, Longines, Certina and Blancpain.

It's really disappointing that you've reported Longines are a bit shit, not least as I was considering getting one!!

I've got 2 modern Omega's and they are exceptionally engineered. I've got a Tag Tank type one with a clear back that you can see the mechanism.

Just bought my wife a Rolex and it will appreciate in value. Would she wear it every day? Doubt it, just as I won't wear my Omega's unless special occasion.

Ultimately what you wear is up to you. I've found that Citizen Ecodrives are easily readable and very wearable. I'm currently wearing a Citizen "ecozilla" a ridiculously thick 300m pro Divers watch, £220 off Amazon, model BJ8050-08E. It's a big tough mutha which will probably outlast me! No worries with this sucker picking up scratches; the looks are polarising. I like the massive wrist presence, subtle it ain't!

Spent most of the Spurs game watching various vintage watch restoration video's off YouTube, very therapeutic, in the circumstances!

Which Omegas do you have Aba? I've had the 3861 Speedie Moonwatch in my basket for a few weeks now waiting for the right moment!

I've got a pro 300m Seamaster, 41mm and a Seamaster Racing Regatta 46mm which is handy for yachting in land locked Denton! Love the Racing far too much! One thing I've got into is using NATO straps rather than 2 piece leather or steel bracelets. Horses for courses.

The Speedmasrer Moon watch looks absolutely classic and ideal for when you go over the Blue Moon! Yeah I think you can get facsimiles of the velcro strap that Aldrin used for his, fine watch either way.
